Calling for nationwide Breakfast prayers, implies we have acknowledged the need for God's divine intervention in our national situation. But how can we expect God's interventions to rescue us while we are harbouring unrepented sins? How can God answer our prayers when we are being led by leaders known for being deceitful, unforgiving, vengeful, and full of hatred towards others?
How do we expect Divine intervention while our Leaders are illegally detaining and persecuting political opponents, practicing witchcraft, and turning a blind eye to tribalism, injustice, corruption, and violence against the vulnerable in our nation.
As Christians, if we fail to condemn these actions, and continue to support this divisive leadership, are we not complicit? Instead of calling for prayers, shouldn't we first urge our leaders to repent?
As a Nation, we should accept that, we are being led by leadership that practices everything the Holy Bible is against, and instead of calling for national prayers, why not first call our leadership to repent, so that God can listen to our prayers.
