Key Weekly Highlights as of 09 November 2025
• In the past week, 103 new suspected cases and 1 death were reported across 4 counties.
• In the last 14 days of reporting (onset from 27 October 2025 to 09 November 2025), 397 new cases and 3 deaths were reported in 9 counties. Most of these cases came from Mayendit (114, 30.6%), Juba (88, 23.6%), Rubkona (86, 23.1%), and Mayom (57, 15.3%).
• From 28 September 2024 to 09 November 2025, 95,846 cases, including 1,589 deaths have been reported in 55 counties, across 9 states and all three administrative areas (i.e., Abyei, Ruweng and Greater Pibor).
• Of the 1,589 deaths, 814 (about 51%) occurred in health facilities, while the rest were community deaths. The overall case fatality rate (CFR) is 1.7%, while the health facility CFR is 0.9%.
• Unity State continue to account for the highest burden of cholera cases at 32% (30,379) followed by Jonglei State at 14% (13,218) and Central Equatorial State at 13% (12,242) of the cumulative cases.
• Western Equatoria remain the only state with no reported cases.
• The age group with highest case count is 0-4 years (24%) followed by those aged 5-14 years (22%).
• The OCV campaign has now been completed in 46 counties with about 8.6 million doses administered – reaching 87% vaccination coverage. Plans are underway to conduct mop-up campaigns in 10 counties targeting 448,500 persons.
