In all this I return all the glory to God Almighty who saw me through in my academic pursuit for a Master's Degree in Environmental Management at Kampala University in the Republic of Uganda without recording any Carryover in all courses offered yet still came out Successfully.
It is Finished. I am so grateful to report that I successfully attended my graduation and was greeted as "mem. Deng Emmillo Mou" by my confined in previous days this month of May - 2023. This has been an unexpected journey for me and for the rest, but something I desired to do for my future family, my country south sudan and myself. When people hear about me, some are genuinely happy for me and congratulate me whereas some are envious and state that "I am very lucky". But not everyone knows my entire story and how much I have gone through to survive in this academic journey.
For those who may not know, my Masters is a Master in Environmental Management from KAMPALA UNIVERSITY, the Capital's Chartered University in the Republic of Uganda. I chose a concentration in Communities, which will eventually change the suffering of the people. My dissertation topic was "Effect of Drought on Food Security in Gogrial West County, South Sudan."
There are so many people I want to thank, but I thought I would just share the acknowledgements page from my graduation so that these people could see what I had to say about them.
Acknowledgements
First and foremost, I truly desire to express my sincere gratitude to my all-mighty Creator, without whom none of this would have been possible to begin with. I give thanks to Allah S.W.T for giving me the strength, protection, wisdom, and guidance I needed to overcome all the difficult challenges I had while accomplishing my studies from primary till now to the level of master's degree of Environmental Management.

He was very nice and friendly to me.
The cordial relationship I enjoyed with him contributed immensely to easing the tensions and frustrations that come with a master's degree holder. His timely feedback, wise insights, and practical suggestions helped advance my work, especially during challenging times. I am also grateful to Dr. Sarah Hacker and Dr. Rick Fleenor for being a part of my dissertation committee then. Their interactions and contributions were invaluable throughout the process.
I couldn't do any of this alone, I had a very handful of people in my life who tagged along with me throughout my journey and I am really really Thankful to God (Allah) for these precious people, for encouraging me many years ago to pursue graduate studies and assuring me that I could be successful.
