Condolence of late Peter,Chief Oyath Odhuk of Panyikango (Nyiya) Chieftaincy.

In the Name of “The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit” Amen.

On behalf of Chollo Christian Community Service and on my behalf I would like to write to extend my condolence to Reth Kwongo Dak the traditional king of Chollo kingdom at Pacodo, Panyikango County and immediate family of late Peter Oyath Chief of Nyiya Chieftaincy who died in a tragedy and barbaric shooting by unknown bandits. Please take courage and kindly accept our apologies.

In light of this tragedy death and comments given by men of good will, I would like to high light some of the sentences put in their improper wordings, for instance the late Peter Oyath being a chief, his condolences first should have been sent to Reth Kwongo The King of Chollo because it is him who appointed and installed him as a chief. Reth is his superior and he is subjected to him, and then his family and etcs. Secondly it is unchristian to write and call death “untimely”. Yes as human being we may say like that because we still need him but it is not the case with God, which means that death is always “timely”. God has timed it and may his name be praise forever and ever. Thirdly it is unchristian to threaten Chollo people with irrelevant political understandings and are in favor of the current ongoing destruction of the Chollo land that “they would go like Chief Oyath”.

This is a very strong and a disheartening statement. God has not left Chollo alone but is still with them. He will revenge in his good time for them if they were truly deprived from their rights. Please let us be cultured and traditionalist and not conservative. Let us be human, thus a being with substance and quality of love, sympathy and forms of humane. See what great religious people wrote in their time about the importance of humanity.

Buddha writes, teach this triple truth to all; a generous heart, kind speech and a life of service and compassion are things which renew humanity. Also Mohandas Gandhi writes that you must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean if a few drops of the ocean are dirty the ocean does not become dry. Similarly Dalai Lama writes that Love and compassion are necessities not luxuries without them humanity cannot survive. Whereas Martin Luther King Jr writes, that all labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.

This is the way of the world, it is a reality and a fact of life but it has been defeated by Jesus Christ who died on the cross and rose from the death for our justification. The Jewish political leaders of the time thought that they have ended the life of Christ on the Cross. But it was a surprise and disappointment when they heard and saw that Jesus came up again to life as he as promised. Life has been changed into another glory and not ended at all. Because Christ lives Peter Oyath will live again in eternity and you will see him when you pass this fleeting world.

Please rests assure that whenever you killed someone that person would eventually be called a martyr. God will surely transform him to become a Saint in his glory. He has been forgiven and promoted to the hierarchy of Saints of God, why because he was killed with a hand which God forbids and I believed that God will forgive him and innocents who died with him in the later day. May God rest their souls in eternal peace Amen.

With regard to condolences and comments sent by both leaders of the Church and the Community to be publicized in your magazine I would advice that they must be conveying messages of peace love in order to reconstruct and rehabilitate the Community. It would be genuine and appropriate to emphasize on the Christian virtues and unity in diversity, preach the messages of forgiveness love and compassion, instead of propagating scrimmaged secular politics that would provoke people to anger and begin to think in term of making revenge. At some stage Europe was hit by volcano for a good number of days and we saw the smoke of volcano through Televisions but underneath there is fire. By the grace of God it suddenly stopped, similarly the volcano and its smoke disturbing or giving hard times to Chollo will quell down by the grace of God.

Therefore it would be for our expedient to preach resurrection’s Christian politics to awaken the sleeping minds to creativity, do pastoral care and restoration of humanity to his wholesomeness as it was preached by Jesus Christ. Those who changed the hearts of men to peace love and uniqueness will be shinning like stars in heaven. Always agents of change are traditionally seen as conquest, classic dynamics and political visionary leaders. Don’t you want to be a visionary political leader?

It would be necessary to teach Christian politics even at the pulpit because Politic itself means interests and needs of the people. It is a social discipline like other disciplines such as theology. So since it deals with human race, it has to be played but with intention of Christianizing and civilizing the Community. Lack of such basic education and thoughts are of course overwhelming in our Sudanese community even in Europe and had caused retardation of pure Christian’s politics. The Christians and Christian’s leaders should make their contributions. They are limited by unseen circumstances. There is a little sense of Christian political understanding in the body of politics why because politics I meant secular politics are presented to them in secular terms with many theorists and ignoring Christian contributions why because you Christians have become, puppets, poor, yes men, uncivil-sized in the Christian’s civility, and tribalistic minded leaders because they lack vision.

Please try to envisage the image of the Southern Sudan. It is lost and deformed because the leaders lack vision. It has remained with the former southern/Sudanese political leaders. For that reason God will hold you responsible for it, tomorrow. Nevertheless it is not too late the sooner you begin to Care for it the sooner God upholds you and you are cared for. A few Southern politicians who are still kicking must unite and speak to the government of the South/Sudan before the events happening now get out of hand and eventually maintain, peace, justices, equality serenity and fraternity, be realistic and visionary leaders like Carter, Romero, Augustine, and Desman Tutu in the propagation of their Christian’s resurrection politics.
