Conspiracy Implication

In this evil world which is governed by Satan, many people out of envy and greediness usually try to harm or eliminate their colleagues in business secretly by all means. The conspirators will create baseless accusation as a way of getting rid of their colleagues.

In book of Daniel chapter six, we find passionate story which is full of controversial conspiracy made by Daniel colleagues in leadership in Persian kingdom. The story tells us that Daniel was outstanding and blameless person in all what he did, for this reasons he was promoted by King Darius to high position. But weak hearted jealous officials decided to mislead the king, by persuaded him to pass a law that forbidden prayer to anyone or god but to Darius alone for thirty days. Those conspirators knew that Daniel will not compromise his faith with sin and idolatry worship in Persian. He was ready to die for the cost of his faith.

The king Darius was blackmailed by conspirators and blindly he signed the written decree into the law without knowing the real intention behind it. Many leaders fall into snare of their advisors when they just endorsed all suggestions offered by their advisors without having full details of their advice. Any authentic leader must be open minded person who know that some of advises were meant to destroy the leader himself, the good example was advice given by Dr. Turbai to late Numeir to impose Sharia Law on the whole Sudan. The consequence of such advice was the breakout of second civil war that led to overthrown of Numeir's regime. Moreover, the conspiracy may be meant for advisors to achieve their hidden agents. Those conspirators reported to the king Darius that Daniel undermined his decree by continuing his devotion prayer to God three times a day. It was that time when King Darius knew the plot was against the best person in his kingdom. King Darius tried his level best to rescue Daniel from death, but there was no way because the decree was unalterable, than he was compelled to have Daniel last into the den of lions.

Contrary even though Daniel knew that the decree was assigned into the law, he never stopped his relationship and devotion to God. The question which posed itself here how many times do we stopped our devotion to God when we faced challenges? How many times do we compromise with sin when our interests are being threatened? Many times Christians failed their unsaved friends and relatives by not having high standards of faith or practice our faith as the world expects from God's people. The crimes and corruptions which are very high in our new nation Republic of South Sudan were being practice by those who called themselves ‘Christians'. It is more important to examine ourselves daily and tried to judge our conducts before others evaluate them.

Result of unthoughtful decision made by the king Darius caused him sleepless night, whereas he spent the whole night fasting and pray, thinking that his foolish decree could be alternate by living God of Daniel. Indeed, all leaders must take care and pay much attention to any decision they wish to indorse, for any wrong decision will reduce them into ashes. The situation of king Darius should be good indicator to leaders, who hope for better future for his subjects. The story narrated to us that conspirators were jealous and ready to discredit Daniel through ill scheme and manipulation of the king. Their duplicity apparent in proposing a decree that will enhance the king's power while Destroying Daniel. Such conspirators have little truth for the welfare of empire, and their consuming passion was to dispose Daniel from leadership. Daniel has wholesome spirit that caused him to excel in administration, careful with the smallest details; he is blameless before God and people. Indeed, when a leader aspired for greatness and self exultation this could give room for wise advisors to utilize this weakness and they could present that leader as dim-wild for he is easily manipulated by flattery and unable to see the long-range implication of his action.

At best the greatest rulers are still human, who fall short of the attributes of divinity. Therefore, the ruthless leaders who have no respect to the law caused all people, nation and languages trembled and feared before them, because they killed those they would like to kill, and kept alive those they wanted to keep alive, honored those they wanted to honor, and degraded those they wanted to degrade. But for leaders, who respected the law that governed the state, know that when they issued the decrees, usually they will find themselves helpless to disregard that law. It is necessarily to be aware about the consequence of your decision before you just indorse it to fulfill or please your advisors wrongly. Do you know the wrong decision taken by king Darius caused him to labor until Sundown trying to rescue Daniel, but he was unable to revoke the law? The truth of the matter is how many times did our leaders revoke the law agreed up to govern the nation? This is the kind of weakness many nations are facing many problems particularly Africa nations, whereby the boss is master of everything. In fact unstrategically and emotionally decision will cause the nation much burden price.

This biblical story should make us more aware about danger of take any decision without thoroughly understand it implication on yourself and on the nation. The leaders must be conscious about canny people who will use trickery ways to achieve what they wish to accomplish. Although I done agreed always with philosophers, I may cited here what France philosopher Descartes said that you should doubt everything, even your own wife when you come back from job, because she might had changed her mind about you. In other words you should doubt every suggestion given by any person unless you are sure convinced about it.

This fascinate story indicated that miraculous rescued of Daniel life caused the king Darius to issue decrees to cast all the conspirators and their families into the den of lions, and they were ate by lions. This was bad end of conspirators, take care God is watching on you, knowing that your conspiracy will turn back to you. Again, king Darius announced that all peoples, nations, and languages within his kingdom must honor the God of Daniel because no other God that can do such astonishing things. Indeed, because of Daniel faith, the pagan nation was transformed into faithful nation. Let this story warn any conspirators about their own fate, for anyone who digs the grave of his brother will fall into that grave too. Being faithful in what you do will transform the department, ministry and the whole state you serve without conspiracy tendency. Conspiracy will give birth to hatred and malicious acts that brought instability and insecurity.
