Lam, Adwok, Pagan
Lam, Adwok, Pagan

Apart from naivety, negativities, and political and military betrayal over land issues which cannot produce values without the involvement of industrialization of manpower, we, South Sudanese – especially Chollo Community with our politicians, we have failed our community through biases at home and abroad, and a long way we have come without evaluation what we have, as a free and gifted treasure from God, and we have denounced (by cursing up on the land which God has prepared for us) what the good that treasure can produce for us in a long run – but most deadly of all, we have been neglecting our root whose base is the Chollo King and many other peaceful, cultural, economic, tradition leaders of South Southese. Nyikango spirit and God Himself will judge us based on our non-productive disagreements.

For over 600 years after Nyikango left and fled the Chollo people and Chollo Kingdom, Chollo, the people with their non-stopping arguments (which have no better or good economic and technological outcomes), Chollo have not changed, not a bit – politically and economically. And, despite planning (for any business transferences, responsibility or future occasion and/or – mischances: man-made or natural disaster) being the first thing in human being’s mind and before taking a first step, neither have we, Chollo put into practice any form of secured economical plans or proper development goals or investment of any kind – that would somehow help bring up the nation (South Sudan that we have called up on ourselves as our nation and motherland – since July 09, 2011) and for the people in need of humanitarian assistances internally. But, first, there is one best thing we, the Chollo must try, acclimate, and put into practice the best way we can to avoid being judged in a lawless way (based on our unfairness: Working together with the Government of South Sudan as Honorable and His Majesty Kwongo D. Padiet has acknowledged – because that is where most of Chollo sons who think they know politics always find themselves proper advises and guidance when they listen and nose not into a wrong businesses such as rebellion activities and political oppositionists (whose goals are drafted to turn down the Republic of South Sudan and the SPLA/M leadership of South Sudan).

Noticing year 1991 to 2003, 2007 to 2011, and 2012 to 2015. A lot of things which could have never repeated themselves in South Sudan and in Chollo areas have been repeating themselves. Such as Chollo sons who keep supporting tribal politics, Chollo sons who keep picking up arms to support cheating Chollo politicians, who have been cheating the proper and operative Government of South Sudan: a). Lam Akol and his more than three political misfortunes, which have failed him and do not support Chollo life and heritage in South Sudan – but his selected folks in crimes against the Government of South Sudan. b). Adwok Nyaba with his forceful needs of becoming the most respected Chollo politician in the SPLA/M leadership of South Sudan. c). And then, here comes Pagan Amum, the toughest political activist that has gotten used to spitting out truth instantly and fearlessly in SPLA/M leadership, his mind he speaks, but since not every man can digest the truth, some of the politicians (mostly novice politicians: indirectly, novice and greedy politicians) who are always acting against the Government of South Sudan without a good cause. In fact, Pagan Amum has once tripped one (when he passionately ran over a traitor Riek Machar in the presidential palace in Juba – before the their scheme of inviting bad foreign businessmen to come and partying in South Sudan – before South Sudanese themselves are not even ready to have a cup of tea or a glass of water in peace). But does that one time stumbling means Pagan Amum should not be given another chance? Obviously, no! That does not count as a mistake since second chance could be the amnesty any oriented and top politician could deserve – because they, top politicians know the laws and have read the Constitution of South Sudan thoroughly and what changes and decrees will laws and orders, and constitution bring forth after July 09, 2011. Habitually, nobody from the top political activists could quit working and defect to another political or military faction because of a tribal friends, brothers, or over a tribal politics. And, if anybody does so, he or she is fool enough (in his/her professionalism) to be lured out of the Governmental duty and responsibility he/she holds. Secondly, stumbling of Pagan Amum is what the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Miyardit should reflect on – as a mistake made by another kid who has learnt to walk and was in need to fly quickly, but has done it wrongfully in his father’s backyard without any permission or proper approval from the dad – a explicable kid who needs correction, guidance from the father and shown where-about the SPLA/M leadership in South Sudan is heading, and why has it changed after the independent of South Sudan. On top of that it is Pagan Amum who deserves a second chance: some positions (Secretary-General, Vice President or Chief-Justice in the national government of South Sudan). Ethically, Pagan Amum deserves to be Vice President of South Sudan since he has served his sentences, when on trails, and has no standing charge left – Red politics accompanies by truth: Riek Machar does not deserve a “fourth amnesty!” Politically, Lam Akol and Adwok Nyaba will survives and live their long life in the oppositionist activities and against the Government of South Sudan: they enjoy that games in non-standardized ways. To add, a force from other outside forces will not make Riek Machar an authentic Vice President of South Sudan. Like Salva Kiir, only Pagan Amum has lived the true SPLA/M vision among the few SPLA/M leaders in South Sudan after July 09, 2011. Finally, Rädh Kwongo D. Padiet will continue enjoying his peace with other peaceful of cultural and traditional leaders of South Sudan – while being protected by the Government of South Sudan. Intro.

After the independent of South Sudan, SPLA/M leadership and vision is no longer the old SPLA/M vision because the Government of South Sudan, together with its army wing, South Sudan Army has been standing strongly in support of the voices of South Sudanese. Since the Government of South Sudan has respected the voices of the people of South Sudan for the independent nation, the Republic of South Sudan – people of South Sudan should welcome any change made by the Government of South Sudan to fit the category in which South Sudanese resources, power of the Government of South Sudan, and the wealth within should be shared equally and fairly – and how the Government of South Sudan’s power should be distributed fairly to reach the people of South Sudan closely and in handy amongst the communities of South Sudan – in term of security. To finalize this argument, which we may agree on, creation of the 28 states of South Sudan was the only approach to end an minimize corruption, and to avoid the masterminded individuals from having another opportunity or access to withhold public funds for their pockets – when the public finances could have been distributed in ways that the communities get their shares – instead of waiting in a long line, from the single minded who just ran out of lucks and could run away with people’s money any time. Luckily, the Government of South Sudan is headed by a freedom and security genius, Salva Kiir who has been managing SPLA/M security and military intelligent affairs, and here South Sudan has a peaceful and traditional, and cultural leader, economist Rädh Kwongo D. Padiet. Through peaceful initiative via cultural and traditional dialogues among South Sudanese, innocent civilians could settle in peace and be protected – and the Government of South Sudan’s administration reformed South Sudan security bill through joint traditional and cultural, and SPLM leadership of South Sudan, but nothing was changed about people’s cultures and traditional values. Geographically, land reforms and tribal demarcations could be left with the Government of South Sudan to finish what could fit (in term of security, economic, education and health improvements) for the interest of the independent nation (South Sudan)’s sovereignty, and the people of South Sudan, and particularly, Chollo people’s peace through traditions and cultural values, and until then, nobody could flawlessly figure it out what went wrong and why South Sudan is not developing like a new nation could. Majestically, speaking in a term that mirrors economical and security advancements for the safety of South Sudanese and South Sudan’s sovereignty is what we, Chollo need to master and adjust to in the norm – since challenges for the future generations of South Sudan are awkward to predict without proper economical and best security plans. Not Chollo duty and responsibility alone.

Looking into the past, Pagan Amum has done his best in SPLA/M leadership but was only misled by the so-called old SPLA/M vision of the late Dr. John Garang de Mabior and defected rebel groups. No doubt, late Dr. Garang was a hero, and with his heroic efforts and responsibility, he has stood his position, not only in every South Sudanese and Sudanese’ heart, but as far as international community’s. Therefore, Dr. Garang has deserved his rightful place, and we see his brave image on every South Sudanese’s hard currency today. Not to be confused, before Dr. Garang de Mabior left this world, he used to meditate with Rädh Kwongo D. Padiet; never in the history of South Sudan has Garang de Mabior did anything without consulting Rädh Kwongo D. Padiet in term of national economy and financial plans and guidance – except before 2003 and after 2007. From then, international community and countries which neighbor the Republic of South Sudan, look at South Sudan as a booming nation - economically and peacefully – 2005 to 2007. Salva Kiir with his wisdom did as the late Dr. John Garang has done professionally. Despite, the oppositionists’ views and opinions, President Salva Kiir is another trustworthy leader amongst South Sudanese in term of the prizes which he has paid to protect the sovereignty of the Republic of South Sudan, and since people are drawn from the cultures and traditions, Rädh Kwongo D. Padiet has become another best pals in the new nation, South Sudan – everybody feels at home whether in Juba, Wau, Malakal, Bentiu, Yambio, Yie, Nasir, Kodok, Fashoda, Wadakona, Renk, Melut, Bor, Gokrial, or Nyarweng, etc. Both cultural and traditional leaders in South Sudan have agreed that no one should part take in rebellion activities since the Government of South Sudan is doing the duties and responsibilities of governing. Nothing was wrong until, the starving and greediest buffalo boy, Riek Machar was invited to represent the Vice President duty of South Sudan, and he (Riek Machar) concluded that Rädh as a peaceful, traditional and cultural leader in economic and finance should not be welcome in any decision making – according to Riek Machar and his crews in organized crime-making. But the buffalo boy was fool enough and did not know that he was awakening the sleeping and humbly giant crocodile at the bed of the River Nile. On that period 2012, Crocodile got a hearing and beneath the bed of the Nile, the Crocodile awakened and stopped the buffalo from drinking the Nile’s water. A paradox: One day, a crocodile went to see the half-hatching eggs, and before a crocodile could reach to the nest, the crocodile saw the buffalo lighting fire at the ground were crocodile laid eggs and breed, and Crocodile’s eggs were all burned by the fire, all dead – year 2009. And that is when things got out of hand: a buffalo will never again drink Nile water. O yeah, wait, the young croc has grown to be another anti- buffalo, according to the cultural and traditional laws and regulations in animals’ turf-games: A ballistic missile – short range missile (BM) rockets fired from the old Unity state, South Sudan and landed, burned and kill Chollo young kids in school building in Chollo areas – Riek Machar or Taban Deng Gai’s order. When the Lion, the King heard about what happened, the Lion ruled out that Buffalo be arrested, but Buffalo ran into the wood through the hyena, hare (the rabbit)’s help. Up exiting, the hyenas and the bunnies in politics were arrested, but were not charged because the Buffalo was the lock headed that has burned the Crocodile’s home on the Nile. Like the proverb may describe, we, South Sudanese and Chollo people, we need to cease pushing forward the old agenda of the SPLA/M since we have a nation, the Republic of South Sudan and in that nation, Government of South Sudan has a right to investigate people’s life standard and decide to execute order that could bring a change and togetherness into the society of South Sudan in a peaceful way. As a result, we, Chollo people should not bang our heads on walls because of the complexity of the old visionaries and the instable odds (the rebel and oppositionists) whose visions did not relief South Sudan from the unrested and uncultivated economical and traditional cultures of past.

And with Nyikango’s civilization which we, Chollo has spitted curses on, we still deserve not what could not hold a man strong in his environment and we should understand that Rädhø of Chollo people, who is also the Rädhø of cultural-traditional, peace and development freedom of South Sudan and Sudan, His Majesty cannot and will not part-take in rebellion or opposition activities. It is the Government’s duty and responsibility to punish any rebel faction or movement. To be clear, Rädhø of Chollo people’s position is not army or political responsibility; nor is Rädhø a political activist or member of any political party. His Majesty was not and cannot be part of any organization globally or locally. For that reason, Rädh Kwongo D. Padiet has fulfill his Majestic duty and responsibility, and His Majesty has peacefully respected humankind, human rights and freedom of all humanity since his installation as a King in Pachodo as every father would. His cultural orientations and folks are what every living Chollo could and should maneuver to, to follow and adapt while the Government of South Sudan still straightening things out for all South Sudanese to fit in. a class, we, Chollo cannot be classified and dictated as some novice political activists might have reasoned out.

Remember, anything we, Chollo do as a Chollo culture, tradition or heritage activity, that thing has to be a peaceful for traditional event which could welcome all classes of all South Sudanese ethnic communities who are willing to part-take in the traditional and cultural events of Chollo society such us dance and musical events, meetings, weddings, holiday activities, fundraising, etc. In prefect point of views, let us leave politics with oriented politicians who know what they are doing (and if they go wrong, the Government of South Sudan is 100% ready to observe in order to arrest or accuse them, criminals, and put them on trails), and let us leave the army of South Sudan to handle the armed rebel soldiers brutalities which have been disturbing civilians’ peace and life in general in South Sudan as whole. Anything we do in the name of Chollo has to be a cultural and traditional thing and in a very peaceful manner which can allow both Garang, Gatkuoth, and Mohammed, and fellow political activists to attend like the ways Miyardit, Amum, Akol, Garang, Monyrow, Al Bashir, Kaka and Padiet, Nyayual, Nyandeng, Achol, Aluel, Peter, Abudhok, Obanga, Ongenyi, etc used to.

Again, excuse the fellow Chollo and South Sudanese in general. You are home, but some of you are still saying that they are not home. Is it not an irrational accuse to be home and saying and cry out loud to the entire world that you are not at home, and at the time, you don’t want your parents to be responsible for you while you are growing up to be big and responsible person. You are home Chollo! Just let your government, the Government of South Sudan to complete their work as a firm that has been standing behind you toward the independent of the Republic of South Sudan. Awaiting you is economical, and peaceful strategies through the cultural and traditional assessments, but not in naivety way that could offend other cultures or the government that has freed your nation, the Republic of South Sudan. Cultivated folks, you as Chollo and any South Sudanese could need to be, but not in a ideological ways of tribe-hood. Passion for the cultural life is all we need in order to avoid being culminated in a wrongly, submissive or deluded technique: in order to enhance the things we should value as South Sudanese Community for the co-existences and togetherness in peace, harmony, and protected economic freedom that cannot offend other cultures and traditions around us.

The things we should value. What are they, the things we should value as cultural society in this world – if we had not been busy engaging our lives in tribal conflicts, and opening the secured doors in order to allow security vacuum for strangers, foes and many other resource looters to get in – and while our societies of South Sudanese are bitterly killing themselves over things that they, South Sudanese could assess as worth a share with one another in the name of co-existence, sisterhood and brotherhood of South Sudan: the way to distribute the revenues and resources, and the power of the Government of South Sudan equally and fairly amongst all South Sudanese community? The peace we miss, togetherness we miss, economical culture we miss, better protection system, education and health benefit we miss. As a substitution of taking out the things which we should not take out from our daily’s co-existence list, we as South Sudanese we have screwed our heads onto a political cultures which have brought no benefit of any kind into our day to day life – but death, suffering and loses of people’s resources and civilians’ properties and lives of ones’ loves. In that sense we, Chollo and South Sudanese need to look back, to how could it have been if some of our cultural brothers did not part take in a political cultures of tribalism and conflicts, and how could it have been if some of Chollo brothers haven’t turned themselves against the Government of South Sudan which has brought Chollo, the people of South Sudan, the freedom of independent we are in today? How could it have been if Chollo as a society of peaceful cultures and economical traditions could have avoided the society of rebellions or the oppositionists (anti- Government of South Sudan)? Well, peace, Chollo, the society of the peaceful cultures and economical traditions, could have remained the woundless, fearless, preventive, harmonized, and cultivated in term of contributions through economical traditions and peaceful culture events and activities which welcome Kiir, Al Bashir, Amum, Gatkuoth, Kuku, Mohammed, Yiedjwok, etc. And that was where some of brothers and sisters tripped in their civil schemes.

Briefly, political society and military association of Sudan know very well that there are bad habits – which both South Sudanese and Sudanese has needed to get rid of. (1). Avoiding cultural and traditional societies to engage in any offensive dialogue toward other ethnic societies. (2). Stopping all political oppositionist who are against the government from having contact with audiences or cultural and traditional performers while the events or activities is being executed. (3). Have security agents/agencies of the government to detain, charge and fine any political oppositionist leader that may deliver any political or military speech during the traditional rally or cultural shows and events or activities days. (4). Boycotting any political/military funding and event activities in a place designated for cultural and traditional events or at religious places or temples. (5). If for any reason, oppositionist has a chance to have event day, it could have been planned according to the date and place(s) which the government has authorized. Otherwise all other peaceful cultural activities could precede by the order of the government, in a place arranged by the community as a centre for traditional and cultural events – while being protected by the government’s security agents, just as when the government would in any public places, schools, hospitals, and others. Look ahead Chollo, the South Sudanese because you have home and you live in that home, and be willing to allow your government, the Government of South Sudan to straighten your needs and the needs of your fellows South Sudanese and to suit the life of everyone – and backup your government, the Government of South Sudan that has been standing with you throughout the campaign for independent – Chollo! You got your independent home, South Sudan. Make yourselves at home in Wau, Juba, Malakal, Tonja, Bentiu, Yie, etc, or in Sudan, you are still at hom fellas! Make yourselves at home!
