The Tiger Faction New Forces (TFNF) would like to respond to unfounded and irresponsible statement published by the Sudan Tribune on its website dated 10th March, 2016 attributed to Dr. Riak Machar, the leader of the SPLM-IO in which he claimed to have assigned Gen. Yoanes Okij the C-in-C of Tiger Faction New Forces (TFNF) as commander of his so-called Special Brigade One.

Tiger Faction New Forces unequivocally and in no uncertain terms rejects this baseless claim by the SPLM-IO leadership. Since its inception in October, 2015 TFNF has never joined the SPLM-IO but is has maintained its political and military independence. We call upon SPLM-IO to conduct its politics responsibly and deceit from habit of trying to own other South Sudanese revolutionary forces that are not part of the signed August agreement. TFNF was established by patriotic sons/daughters of South Sudan as a loud rejection to the un-constitutional establishment order 36/2015 which divided the Republic of South Sudan into 28 unpopular states. Hence it would only seize its political and military struggle against the dictatorial regime in Juba if its revokes the unpopular establishments order 36/2015 and restore Shilluk territories as per 1956 borders.

Once again we seize this opportunity to reassure our supporters that your gallant people’s revolutionary movement the Tigers will not be part of any forces or agreement that does not address the political grievances upon which it was established. This campaign of mud smearing and tarnishing the Tiger’s image is just a storm in a tea cup and it shall not shake our revolutionary convictions.

Long live the struggle of our People

Long live South Sudan
