First I want to start with World Food Programme(WFP), the WFP caused the insecurity in the IDPs camp at POC 1 UN protection site in Juba. The WFP came and introduced the project of food vouchers to the community and asked the community to select some traders among the community to be responsible for the food.
The WFP then told the selected traders to collected some money and give it to the traders leader who should go to buy food wherever he/she wants to buy it from. Then they you came to distribution it to community the WFP will pay back the money and will give the advance on the top of the money spent.
The people who support that move were the camp chairman and some community leaders but the rest of the whole camp did not accept that project.
Then the WFP agreed with the traders, after the agreement was signed then the traders went out to the local shops at Kony Kony in Juba buying food from dinka traders, whenthey brought it to IDPs,the community questioned the food and told the traders we don't want this food and will not receive it. Better to take it back.
The community leaders called the WFP to explain where that food came from and the WFP had no idea on this food. The community leaders asked the WFP,this food that was brought you don't have an idea where it came from? The WFP answered NO. Then the community leaders told them we want only the food of WFP,we don't want these food of the traders.
The WFP agreed and said enough is enough. After the concern worldwide call the community for food distribution then the traders came at the station to divide the voucher to the people at the station of food distribution. The community say we don't want the traders here at this food distribution, then traders say if you don't want to take this voucher to receive our food, then you will not have a food unless you take it from us said the traders.
After the community returned to their homes then the community leaders told the whole camp that we will have meeting tommorro early in the morning.
However, minutes before the meeting was due to start, the traders and the camp chairman with their supporters came and started beating people with their fagaj, that is when the camp management Acted joined the dispute.
The camp managment Acted supported the camp of the chairman and traders, because they have relationship with the government to take the people outside.
The community decided to fight them and to destroy their food that they force peoples to receive, then the community perused them to UN base out from POC 1 then they took four days there saying this new camp chairman had made a coup. Then the UN came and talked to the community to allow them to return to their homes.
When they returned to their homes, the new camp chairman told them to sit at their homes without touching any thing again, but the camp management Acted, WFP, and other organizations that deliver the service in the camp don't want to recognize the new camp chairman because he was accused of a coup and also he don't have relationship with the government outside.
Now the NGO suspended food since September last year till now we have no food. The people are now suffering from hunger because of Acted and WFP.
Who are these NGO? We know it very well these NGO are working hard to destroy these camp, and after they destroyed it, then we shall go outside to be massacred again.
But we will never go outside till the peace return back to S.Sudan. Otherwise we want to be transported to our county if we are here to be punishment or to pushed out.
For all these things I only blame the UN head mission in S.Sudan, because she can ensure for our services here like health, and food, and other things. But she said nothing for our suffering here in IDPs. To be honest we are not here in IDP to seek food, we are here for protection and no one from UN staff or other NGOs pay IDPs from his/her pocket. I think that food is a world contribution to displaced people so don't think that we are here for seeking food but rather for being targeted out side .
