This meeting is being held jointly with the Associate Parliamentary Group on Sudan.
The Secretary General will speak about recent developments in Sudanese politics and the prospects for Sudan leading up to elections in 2009 and beyond.
Pa'gan Amum joined the SPLA in 1983. He has served in various positions including as Military and Civilian Administrator in Malakal, Bahr al-Ghazal and Melut and was appointed Civilian Administrator of Kapoeta in 1991. He became SPLM spokesman in 1994. He is now Secretary General of the SPLM (Sudan Peoples' Liberation Movement), the SPLM lead the Government of South Sudan and are partners in the Government of National Unity.
This is an important opportunity to hear from one of Sudan's leading politicians. If you are able to attend this meeting please let us know as soon as possible.
