Pachodo Women Celebration in Khartoum

The occasion was convened on Friday 22 through Saturday 23 August 2008, with the aim to address social issues such as Collo marriage and other matter of Collo concern. But in my observation the occasion addresses the political agenda of one group that did not participate in Pachodo students union which took place on 9 August 2008.

Honestly speaking, the people who were invited to address the gathering were people who are regard as followers of Pagan Amum, but members of Dr. Lam group were not invited to participate in the occasion. The outsider people who had attended the occasion noticed that the organization was a partial one and it is not inclusive as people think. In real sense it was not an occasion that addresses entire Collo issues but it was a kind of political forum to discuss party objectives, and also it look like a kind of revenge to what took place on 9August2008, Pachodo students union which was conducted under auspice of Dr. Lam. His being there was seen as indication that he was behind the formation of union for political gain. Let me be critical here to question all Collo members who support the two leaders without effective advice: who is Dr. Lam and Pagan? Are they not Collo sons whom God has raise to leadership position? If we just support them for sake of support without questioning their leadership where they lead us, then we are destroying them politically. On opposite side, if they do listen to the subjects opinions, then the subjects have a right to isolate them or dissociate with them and this will be a blow to their political career.

Now the ordinary members of Collo community who are not involved in this backward game find it very hard to understand what is happening, and they reiterated that this psycho-social war will not lead us to any step further in development of our society. I really wonder in shock and I'm unable to comprehend what the benefits are behind all these noises.

Personally I thought that Women are the only hope for bringing unity among Collo political leaders because all men seem to fail due to personal interests. And it is well known all over the world that women as mothers have tender hearts full of compassionate love to all their children even those who are criminals they do not deny them, then how come Collo women fuel up a fragile atmosphere within Collo political realm??? Indeed, if all social classes within the Collo community join these groups without neutral body, and then we must be assure that the end of Collo existence is very near, because every group will make sure to eliminate the other group. If two groups begin to wage a war among them, who will be beneficial or who will be the loser, I think the entire Collo community will be. Here I want to criticize and challenge my mothers who join this dead game play by their sons, by joining this game you have deepened the wound, and you have accepted that what your sons are doing is right, and it will be impossible for your sons to unite again and the loser will be you when one of your son murder his brother.

Are we really too ignorant to this extent that we are unable to discover terrible consequences that will follow our attitude? If you think that your opponent made a mistake do you need to make the same mistake to qualify your stand ???

With all these good reputation Collo has among other ethnics group in Sudan we failed to handle our issues, for every group think that they are the most wanted and influential representative to lead Collo in political arena. Does it mean the leaders of the two groups must win Collo first so that they may become competent leaders in Southern Government? For I don't understand why do they give hard time to Collo, they might have discovered that all their followers are upsent minded who are not worth sound in their thinking.

Please why don't you allow Collo to rest for a while, up to now they are still living as displaced outside their mother homes? You are just fighting for leadership and you care less about their welfare. Will you be happy if Collo community fight each others for the cost of your leadership? Do you know the implication of that war, when your people eliminate themselves; finally the enemy that want to confiscate Collo land will eliminate you also, for what you are doing now, you are implementing the unseen objectives of Collo enemy. It is a great shame to whole Collo, despite of having well influential educated people within two groups, there was no good indication, because we still behave like wild bush men who did not taste socialization or know about human rights.

I hope I am writing this article to Collo who are Christians, who know why Christ left his throne and came to this World to die as ransom for our sins. We need to be ready to reconcile our brother who wrongs us. The pretend spirit must be removed in our hearts, which says there is no problem, by trying to seal the problem but we still live in bitterness.

Father Lord I confess on behalf of my people wherever they are for we have done wrong to you, we fail to follow your path, forgive us O God. God Almighty, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ our society is facing difficulties of disunity among our political leaders, you said in your words that anything we asked in your name you will give it us. Please can you reveal yourself to every group in your own special way which can be understood by both groups? Father we are not ready for the war within our community, rescue us from this danger O Lord. As you make yourself known to Saul please make your self known to the ring leaders for the benefit of your ordinary people within Collo community. Lord Jesus may you diffuse the tension within Collo community; I ask all these in Jesus precious name Amen.
