collo.jpjCollo as a major border ethnic group and his deep patriotism in defense for Africans indigents against the Turkish Egyptian colonization and AL-Nsaar “The Mahadiyas” currently presented by Umma Party was affected by wars which reduced its numbers from over five millions to a million now a day.

Because by that time there was not formal state by the name Sudan. , every ethnic was defending its self by his won means militarily or politically. The wars which shaped the mindset of every Shilluk man or women to refer to any government in Khartoum as Arabs or enemies people who should not be dealt with  and at the same time all previous governments in Khartoum look to Shilluk as dangerous people to the unity of Sudan “separatist” Which need to be dealt with caution.

That why all governments in Khartoum have no trust in any Shilluk man or woman among the people of South Sudan. I think Shilluk are not mistaken, but they have to realize that time has changed and the people we fought with them in past are not the same people in Khartoum, instead it’s a government for whole people of Sudan so we can’t exclude our selves, or allow anybody to exclude us from sharing our rights, because that is where we belong and it’s our right and rights of our children to be represented and receive services in the government of Sudan not Arab government. And I think we do not have problem with Arab since we are all citizens of Sudan.

And the Shilluk people should stop referring to any Shilluk man or woman dealing with government as a betrayer or an enemy; instead we should question their credibility in sense of what services they deliver to the community.

Not only that but also at the time we refer to ourselves as betrayers other ethnic are dealing with same government and we don’t call them betrayers, instead they boss us with the power stemmed from that government and corrupt our community and still we think the situation ok that is wrong. And if we can accept this situation why not we?

We can’t live without services and if services are brought from Khartoum we should be in Khartoum in that government and if in Juba We should be in Juba in that government. We don’t need a middleman or third party to handle our affairs or to tell us what to do or who are our enemies since they deal with the same people whom they called enemies when other people deal with them as if we don’t have standing to initiate what is called South affairs or Sudanese affairs.

The Shilluk community can’t afford no more to be out from government whether in United Sudan or Separated South. I think that shouldn’t be our concern whether Sudan will be one or two because we don’t have control over that issue it’s up to people in their decision, but the concern should be how we can be key players in either the ways united or separated.

Shilluk need to a new era and have an open dialogue with national government to work out these historical misunderstanding  as well as the neighboring state “White Nile” state and our brothers in Blue Nile State the “Funj” to establish a friendship relation at all level of government local, state, and federal. The reason I called Funj brothers is for Shilluk people who don’t know to know that Funj is part of Shilluk and Shilluk is part of Funj and to supported this I refer you to a Sudanese elementary history syllabus when I was in 6th grade in early eighties I was taught that Funj is originally from Shilluk so we need to have open dialogue with them as well as with all citizens of Sudan from all geographical directions. We need to know about Jahleheen and Mak Nimer and their relation with Shilluk as well as the Nubians in Nuba Mountains because to be effective in the new Sudan vision we need to reach out to all Sudanese and THE WORD ARAB USED BY PEOPLE WHO HAVE ILLUSION OF BEING THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO RUN THE PUBLIC AFFAIRS, SHOULD NOT HAVE PLACE IN OUR MINDS TO SCARE US FROM DEALING WITH OUR GOVERNMENT IN KHARTOUM SINCE WE STILL IN THE UNITE D SUDAN.

AT THE END I URGE EVERY SHILUK MAN OR WOMAN TO STUDY OR HAVE A CLUE ABOUT GOVERNMENT AND TO DISTINGUSH BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT IN KHARTOUM AND THE ARAB, BECAUSE WE CAN’T MAINTAIN THE SECURITY OF OUR LAND AND ITS PEOPLE WITHOUT BEING IN THE GOVERNMENT WHICH MAKE DECISION REGARDING THE DAILY LIFE OF OUR PEOPLE. AT THE SAME TIME WE CAN’T LIVE 2011 AND AFTERWARD IN 2008, THAT IS UNREALISTIC AND DENIAL FOR THE RIGHTS OF PEOPLE IN 2008 THROUGH 2011.

May God help us understand the situation we are in and work it out. I believe we can do it because we have the education, knowledge, skills, and experiences required to perform the change. Only what’s missing is the courage and thinking outside the box as a Sudanese before becoming Southerners where one is entitle to any position in Sudan whether is Present of Sudan or South Sudan, be free from people trying to determine your destiny these are the real enemies.
