Very  important announcement

We the representing committee of Doctors and paramedics working in all hospitals in south Sudan hereby announce the following .

1-      We are not against the government of south Sudan nor against the ministry of health in GOSS.

2-      Since 13th 06 /09 we submitted a memo that was addressed to H.E president of the of the government of south Sudan , copies  to H.E minister of health GOSS , and H.E speaker  SSLA which was raised to address urgent issues that we are facing in delivering health services to the people of south Sudan . Since then we have been trying to find  a peaceful resolution of those issues , but there was no response from the government .

3-      We have not been granted access to meet H.E the president  and also there was no feedback from H.E the president . However, on the 4th 08/09 the memo that was submitted to the office of the president was returned to the committee and redirected to the H.E the minister of health for his approval although the memo was addressed directly  to to H.E the president  and the minister has his copy delivered .

4-      On the  3rd 08 /09 H.E , the president of  the GOSS  issued a 72 hours ultimatum  for the ministry of health GOSS  to pay all arrears in incentives of the following months ( October -December 2008 and January - March , June - July 2009 ) but till now nothing has been paid and no action taken to ensure this was implemented .

Based on  this long time that has taken with none of of the issues in the memo being resolved , we are hereby requesting for THE IMMEDIATE SOLUTION IN NOT MORE THAN 72 HOURS AS FROM 02 -09-2009/

 

A)     Payment of all arrears  and incentives for the 8 months as listed above and as was directed by H.E the president of GoSS on the 3rd. 8.2009

B)      Supply emergency drugs and consumable materials ( Canulae ,plaster of Paris/ Gibbis ,drips X-rays films and lab. Reagents just to mention a few) . thereafter to have a regular and sustained supply of the above.

C)       Provide a functioning security the hospitals for protection of hospital staff and patients.

D)     Provide in patient feeding at least one meal a day.

 

In conclusion, we would like to inform the public that any other steps that would be taken thereafter by the doctors and paramedics all over south Sudan would be the result of the long awaited solutions from the Government of Southern Sudan.
