SPLM State Secretary for Upper Nile State comrade John Kor Diew Tuesday expressed serious suspicions of the tactics of operation and some activities of Dr. Lam's SPLM-DC, saying this would case insecurity in the region.
Comrade John Kor Diew's comments came just days after SPLM-DC made false accusations of the involvement of the SPLM in an incident in Ogot county in Malakal where a citizen and son of the Shulluk King got killed after robbers tried to steal his cattle.

The Secretary stated that a thorough and full investigation by the authorities is underway. "I want to remind all SPLM supporters and members that SPLM has never tried using force to convert its members, nor will it attempt to use force." He added.

The SPLM Chairman in the state and others in the leadership have also stated that it is not in the nature nor policies of the party to harass others, an act that is contrary to the mission and vision of the party.

The State Secretary also pointed out that elements now active with the SPLM-DC in the state "have been working with the system since 2005." Their plans and tactics of operation are not new to the SPLM. Their eventual breakaway from the party, and the series of false accusations of harassment by the SPLM come as no surprise.

Comrade Kor also mentioned other incidences where SPLM members were attacked by SPLM-DC supporters. One such incident occurred recently when an SPLM youth was attacked in Malakia residential area in Malakal shortly after proudly praising the SPLM for its long Struggle at an SPLM rally. According to community members, the perpetrators were SPLM-DC members.

"Our people have suffered a lot and we cannot afford to lose any more" said comrade Kor
