Somalia’s ambassador to South Sudan, Jama Hassan Khalif, thanked all those who contributed to the successful organization of the event, praising the Somali community and partners who helped commemorate the national occasion.
Somalia celebrates its National Day on July 1, marking the 1960 union of the former British Somaliland protectorate and the Trust Territory of Somalia under Italian administration, which formed the Somali Republic.
