The South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) and the Senegalese Football Federation are set to sign a cooperation agreement soon, according to SSFF President Mr. Francis Amin.

Speaking upon his return from the United States—where he participated in the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw—Mr. Amin said both sides have reached an understanding to formalize a partnership that will tap into Senegal’s expertise in coach training and youth academy development.

Mr. Amin also revealed that he held several productive meetings on the sidelines of the event with African and international football stakeholders. Among them was a meeting with the FIFA Country Director, where both parties agreed to complete the Juba Stadium lighting project by January next year.

He further highlighted progress on the Football Development Center in Nesitu, noting that several new initiatives are expected to roll out in January.

The SSFF President also recalled last month’s meeting in Doha with officials from the Qatar Football Association and the Qatari Ministry of Youth and Sports. The discussions focused on implementing new projects in South Sudan and activating the existing agreement with Qatar, with additional clauses set to strengthen future cooperation.

Upon his arrival at Juba International Airport, Mr. Amin was received by First Vice President Mr. Makor Majok, Executive Committee members Mr. Gatgank Matiok and Mr. Abraham Ajok, and SSFF Secretary General adv.. Bak Athian bak.
