Thanks to Jwokthab Wahn Othow, who dug out and posted the article of Deng Mangok on this gigantic website Pachodo from SPLM-Diaspora forum.

Mr. Deng Mangok is a Dinka not known from which county, and making drama from the events of Malakal of the 9th January 2009. There is no reason to doubt his state of mind and the psychological set-up in his propaganda revealed in his article. Because the fallacious superiority assumed by him and his likes that they were born to rule in the south. This claim is the most redundant for a recently clothed being wanting to regulate the affairs of some organized communities of south Sudan.

Let Deng gets it from the horse mouth. As an eye witness to the events from Malakal, Deng is absolutely miss informing the community in the Diaspora with his clear sense of ignorance in history in Upper Nile State and the dynamism of the tribal migration in the south. No cynical objective aiming the State government shake-up in the state, but in actual fact this government must go. It is a tribal government led by Gluak Deng GARANG a Dinka –turned Nuer with all his security committee from Dinka.

Your allegation that there is a “pre-planned plot by Collo Nation to expose GoSS leadership for an ulter failure in controlling law and order” is not a true claim. The GoSS needs not be exposed, as it evident that it has already failed in many aspects, security being number one in Yambio killing of the Equatoria high ranking police officers by your tribes men and no results of the investigations have matured, the killing of Murle patients on the hospital beds in Bor, the killing of Jurbel in their own county, the killing of the civilians in Rumbek ,the murder of people in Anakdiar, not only that, but see these threats

claim by elders of Amatker (threat) about Lul police station 24/4/2007. The authorities of Galuak Deng never took appropriate steps.

The letter from Nazer Thon Way Awin to the Governor of Upper Nile State(Galwak Deng Garang) dated 16th October 2008. In which he incited seditious material that could provoke a war between the two tribes Collo and Dinka. Claiming many Collo villages, including Malakal as belonging to them, Galuak Deng never took action”.

We shall come to handle these claims separately.

How much measure would Deng appreciate to acclaim exposure of GOSS as a bad government?

Is it this,

On corruption,

The non payment of the salaries of SPLA soldiers while Kir’s government officials in Juba are soaked with plenty fullness so much so that some undersecretaries are getting as much as that can pay ten soldiers of the poor SPLA, that make them go on the rampage and looting bouts in the towns and country side. Where is the role of the C-IN-C who never knows whether his soldiers are starving to death while his ministers’ bellies are bursting with wealth and their children enjoying foreign schools and health care in America, Australia etc.

Please find out from the report of the world bank who are the gentlemen in the south who do not have their names on the GOSS payroll illegally, or still find out whose dollar-filled caskets are being caught by. customs authorities, you will be ashamed by your tribes’ men who are born to rule.

The tribalistic government machinery that operates in Juba with almost all the ministries affiliated to Dinka either as a minister, head of a commission or an undersecretary neglecting other capable people from different tribes, that mal-presentation of the south, and leaving out of competent non-Dinkas with high qualifications in the various fields of development, gave the Dinka citizen a false sense of superiority over other tribes, when in actual fact this is not the case, not in population, education or warrior ability. Most of these people know the ability of others, but are denied. (from the article of Jokino Padiet).

Or is it this;

“There are some “like you Deng Mangok” among the current young adults in south Sudan who have been heinously inspired to aspire for the rule of tribes in SS. They have been nurtured and fed some evil politics that despise individual industry and self-reliance and glorify the rule of tribe”.( editorial of Advocate 3rd March 2009).

Yet this malicious panorama was uncouthly staged by Collo community by attacking with spears nuers and Jieng who arrived first and lined up at the entrence of the stadium”. This panorama was not orchestrated by Collo community, but by the Dinka war lord THON MUM who is a minister of information in the government of Upper Nile State and has a militia that burnt down the village of Abalanim. He was the chairman of the celebrations and brought Dinkas from as far as Akoka on trucks in order to lead the processions on the 9th January 2009 to show all the people that Malakal belongs to the Dinka. Your lies that Collo speared the Nuer and Jieng will be easily disputed, because the Nuers were not close to the stadium gate as they were aware who should lead the procession and they are the closest tribe the Collo because of the marriages between them.

This was to show it evidently to the president of the Republic and the invited International Representatives to see for themselves and draw the conclusion that South Sudan can not rule itself as an Independent nation” You mean the Dinka can not forcefully rule Southern Sudan, you are right.

The incident was calculated to prove that “Chollo” own malakal and should lead the procession”

That the incident was calculated is your own make ship, but that Collo owns Malakal, is no doubt true. I am only obliged to lecture you on the history of Collo migration, unlike you, who might not know your 20th grand father or if lucky you definitely do not know where he came from and if you lie, please cite the reference assuming you are an intellectual and scientific in argument you should stage what can only be respectable with reference quotation.

The Collo people arrived at the present land from the current lakes state in 1545 AD.( I doubt if any of those claiming ownership of the Collo land know their historical back ground by dates).

Abalang Dinka were the first to come to the current land they occupy, they came from Panaru and granted permission to cross the Nile by Reth TUGO Wad DHAKOTH (1690-1710 AD) Ref. The shilluk trbe M.E.C.Pumphery. For the Ngok and Dongjol, who came much later during the time of Reth AWIN wad YOR (1835-1840 AD). Who among these land grabbers that can challenge the historical facts? That is why there are no records of wars with the Dinka in Collo history. A man like Joknyang whose daughter (Atong) was married by Reth Awin, was assigned to stay in Pathworo. Yes Malakal as a capital of the state can be inhabited by all the people from various parts of Sudan. But not to be claimed by any one besides Collo. One unfortunate thing about the Ngok Dinka is that they failed to rename the Anyuak homes of Gelacel, Adong and Abong. Anyauk had fought one of the wars known by Collo as “Liny Bel” or the war of Bel and the current opet-jii on the eastern bank of Ditang is where the dead people were buried. But the fiercest decisive war was fought with the FUNJ whose king was called ODIT at present Padit. These facts are like casting pearls before swine.(from an article Micheal Ajalwong Like father like son). Mr. Deng what do you have to dispute this?

The geographical divisions of Upper Nile State as contained in the legal statutes as 1. Eastern region comprises of Nasir and Maiut 2.Centarl region consist of Bailiet and Akoka(including Malakal under Sobat Rural council before it was transferred to Biliet)3. Northern Region consist of Renk,Melut and Maban. 4.Western Region comprising of Kodok and Tonga.”

Mr. Deng, administration is not by geographical directions but by administrative units see below;

According to the Sudan maps at the independence on 1/1/1956, the Collo land includes the pervious Central district.

The COLLO Land previously known as Central District is bounded as follows”

  1. On the North:

It is bounded on the west bank of White Nile by 12th parallel of latitude as far as kordufan/Upper Nile boundary. On the east bank of white Nile by a line drawn from junction of 10 ° 15 ´ north parallel with the Nile to the apex the Funj/Upper Nile boundary, at the junction of 9 ° 30 ̒ latitude, and 32 ˚ 45 ̒ longitude.

b) On the South:

From the apex of the Funj/Upper Nile boundary mentioned above, to a point on the Sobat River (marked Shilluk/Dinka) between Anakdiar and Banglay, then to Wunikir on Khorflus then to Jebel Zaraf and the Zaraf river mouth then to Lake No irrigation Nile gauge, the White Nile being the boundary( 16 km south of sobat).

  1. On the west:

It starts from Lake No Nile gauge along the Kordofan/Upper Nile boundary, north wards to 12th parallel North: and the line runs perpendicularly from the Nile west wards to Jebel Magainis.

  1. The infringement on the Collo borders by Dinka Ngok near KODOK and the eastern side of sobat and by Jongulei state south of River white Nile east of Tonga till the confluence of the Sobat till wunikir on Khor folus tributary of Sobat are illegal claims. Many claims had been made as early as post Addis Ababa agreement by Jonglei state and other neighboring tribes, the dispute for the borders were ruled by the high executive council (HEC) in favor of the rightful owners the Collo. This ruling is supported by documents of : 1980, (by H.E. HILARY PAUL LOGALI minister of Regional ministry of Administration, Police and Prisons “Southern Region-Juba”).

  2. 1982(By Charles Kuot Chatem, minister, Regional ministry of decentralization, southern region–Juba). This had been ruled in favor of Collo

  3. Petition by Collo intellectuals to the president of the Republic(25/3/1995).

  4. Other claim was presented to our late leader Dr. John Garang deMabior, just before the signing of the CPA. (A petition by Ngok Jieng 1/11/2004).

  5. This was responded to appropriately by Collo community, and H.E. Kir was served with a copy. (27/1/2005).

Mr. Deng with your magnificent ignorance find out the truth today.

Those who were in Malakal led by Dr.Lam Akol collected themselves protested to the governor and wrote their protest which they distributed widely nationally and internationally”.

What do you expect Deng, from the representatives of the people?.

a petition accusing Jieng of attacking their people”.

Those Dinka SPLA soldiers who massacred the Collo people are criminals and they will be punished if not by law, by the people themselves. However, we understand that these poor soldiers are in need of food, and will not miss such a chance to kill or loot people especially when instigated by foolish people like you and their careless leadership.

Chollo Ministers in GoNU and GoSS led by Dr. Peter Adwok Nyaba Openly cried in support of Chollo community”

This is natural. Being GoSS or GoNU minister should not distract you from the rights of your people being usurped by thugs.

It is advisable that before hostilities become deeply ingrained and seeds of vengeance degenerate, GOSS should intervene to; Demarcate for the state Headquarters all over the south”.

We welcome this sensible resolution tract and that’s why the Collo MPs wrote the protest as a law abiding people which you might intentionally refuse to recognize as most of you are usually at loggerheads with order and law. However, the land ownership according to the CPA ordinance, is by consent of the people.

To them, no Nuer or Jieng should be appointed a governor of Upper Nile State no matter to which party he/she comes from.”

This statement is fictitious and exposes that Mr. Deng is not from Upper Nile. He needs being straightened. Mr. Moses Chuol, Mr. Peter Garkwoth, Mr. Peter Charliman, but Dr. Tong Yik was voted into office because of Dr. Lam’s votes in 1997 against Mr. Mongo Ajak Akol who is a Collo. Mr. Dak Doup Bishok the longest serving nuer governor is there to speak. Also Mr. D.K. Matthews was a governor by appointment, but was failed by Collo in election.

For the Dinkas governors are Mobil Riak, Amos Agot elected into office by the will of Collo he his there to testify. Galwak Deng GARANG was the governor twice, but this time because he decided to take the program of Collo cleansing as in Anakadiar, he will soon go. Deng you must rest assure that Collo are the most fair in the game the right man in the right place, until they turn their backs to Collo. Collo and will always be a determining factor especially in a fair election in Upper Nile if you like or don’t.

The success of the governor and the minister of finance is unprecedented”

This is un illusion. The governor who refused the Collo musical bends and folklore to participate on this occasion is diabolic and your minister of finance who solicits arms to his Dinka clan is shameful. Didn’t you hear about the truck that caught fire with a load of rifles, by God grace, how many trucks he had already shipped before this incidence? Is this the unprecedented successful work Mr. Deng?

The rest of your article about Dr.Riak and Dr. Lam and the 1991 split, is personal hatred and loss of capacity to reason. The 1991 SPLM/A split has its own reasons ( read the book of Dr. Lam if you are not bias). But this split was a blessing in disguise, in that it brought democracy in the movement which was a one man show with a lot of non-battle deaths and casualties. Most importantly, it gave birth to the self-determination which was and remains the center of political gravity for the southern people unlike the new Sudan that is not popular among the southern masses don’t pretend to be a good Dinka boy, got it? If you come again with your nonsense we will be there double.
