Why the article under title “Assault on the Chiefdom of Panyikango” was locked from the public debate?

I am very concern about the motive of Pachodo web management teams and their fairness in acting on this public forum. I do not understand why the management teams allowed some people to comments on the mention above article and deny some people to comments on that article?   I hope the management teams are not trying to act bias and indifferent by denying others to voice their opinion on this public forum. Example, on many occasions people like Mr. Padiet’s writing has been allowed to use insult  against another members of this forum  and management team has never took action like that  to remove  or locked  many his writing full of hatred and insult against the members of this forum. I think since the Pachodo management teams allowed this article to be published on the public forum it should have been allows to be debate. I do not understand why the management teams allowed it to be publishes in the place first. Denying that article for the public debate on this forum, it concerns many of us about how fair the management teams are when taking their action on this public forum. Many of us on this forum have been talking about democracy on this form but now it seems to me that our claim for democracy does not match our action.  Freedom of expression is in the very heart of democratic institution that everyone has the right express his/ her opinion.   Mr. X once said that, “the people of Collo land are suffering atrocities by the notorious militant and their own sons such as Dr. Lam Akol and his followers”. This kind of issues we should not take lightly because it concerns the Collo community in general.

Back to the comments made by those Mr. Padiet and many others against bro Kimo, I think we should first seek for the fact before jumping to conclusion about what took place in Malakal town on April 19, 2008. I personally, not aware about why the warrant of arrest was issued in the first place against Mr. Peter Oyath? Bro Kimo is a good investigator and has done an excellent narrative on the store about what had happened in Malakal but some of us on this forum wanted to blind foul the innocent Collo participants and they are not happened when the fact is exposed to the public. I don’t see any thing wrong with Kimo’s narrative on the store here. He is just informing us about what had happened in Malakal. I do not understanding why some of us are attacking bro Kimo here?   Let’s say that the warrant of arrest was issues by the judge against Mr. Peter Oyath, first of  the police  should have  notify Reth about such move since Mr. Peter Oyath is spoke person of Reth. We know that the traditional authority of Reth is well recognized for centuries and there is no authority in Sudan who does not recognize traditional authority of Reth Collo.

I suggest to all Collo participants on this forum not to personalized thing because bro Kimo has the rights to express his opinion. This is the fundamental principle of democratic institution that everyone has the right to express his / her opinion without being intimidated.  I think Mr. Peter’s case is not a criminal case that requires an arrest warrant in the first place. The accuser or the police should have hand over the judge written order to Mr. Peter Oyath directly to go court and defend himself.  The accuser and police took the law in their own hands and harassed Mr. Peter at night in his home. I am not sure whether the warrant of arrest was necessary or was it even written by Judge or could have been written by the accuser himself without the judge’s signature. Since the case of Mr. Peter was not a criminal case, it should have been better to hand over the court order directly to Mr. Peter to go to court and defend himself of what he has been accused of. I don’t know why some of us here on this forum do not want other Collo to be informed about what had happen in Malakal. I am aware that the accuser is the politician who accused the chief of Panyikango Mr. Peter for being an obstacle for his failure during the local election in Panyikango County. In order for us to save our unity we must put an end the politics of nepotism to save the unity of Collo people otherwise it will continue to hurt Collo community.
