اعفي النائب الاول لرئيس الجمهورية سلفاكير ميارديت، حاكم ولاية اعالي النيل، داك دوب بيشوك من منصبه بناءً على توصيات المؤتمر الوطني اعتبارا من الثامن عشر من فبراير 2008م، وعين بدلا عنه قلواك دينق ، كما اعفي المراجعة العامة للجنوب تنفيذا لقرار برلمان الاقليم.
