Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry highlighted on Monday Egypt's support for peace and stability in South Sudan during a meeting with a delegation of the South Sudanese National Pre-Transitional Committee (NPTC) headed by Tut Kew Gatluak.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in South Sudan, as well as means of boosting bilateral relations in different fields.
During the meeting, Shoukry said that his country is pleased to be chosen as an observer state in the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission (JMEC), which monitors the implementation of the peace agreement in South Sudan, said foreign ministry spokesperson Ahmed Hafez.
"Egypt is ready to transfer its expertise to South Sudan in the field of drafting constitutions and laws," Shoukry said, voicing Egypt's continued support for the South Sudanese people in all fields.
Gatluak expressed his country's appreciation for the efforts exerted by Egypt to support peace and stability in South Sudan.
