Juba, Feb 13 (Prensa Latina) The British charity organization Oxfam received new complaints of sexual assault and rape today, this time among aid workers in South Sudan.

Oxfam's former global safeguard leader, Helen Evans also warned of attacks on volunteers child at the hundreds of charity stores run by the international company of 17 British non-governmental organizations.

Evans accused top managers of not acting, pressuring Executive president, Mark Goldring, hours after his vice president resigned over a scandal involving the use of prostitutes by humanitarian workers in Haiti.

According to the former staff, a survey conducted during her term (from 2012 to 2015) exposed a 'culture of sexual abuse' in some Oxfam offices.

In South Sudan, seven percent of the staff witnessed or experienced a rape or attempt in which colleagues participated, according to the Press TV website.

While in office, Evans asked to bring his conclusions to the Oxfam leadership team, but the meeting was canceled and Goldring said that discussing the report would not take things further.

Later during her term she said she received three new complaints in a single day in February 2015, including a woman forced to have sex to get help.

The charity organization expressed itself against accusation for covering up a scandal involving its humanitarian workers in Haiti, which has put government financing at risk and threatens its global reputation.

The day before, the deputy chief of Oxfam, Penny Lawrence, resigned her position and blamed herself.

As director of the program at that time, I am ashamed that this has happened under my supervision and I assume full responsibility, he said after resigning.

Oxfam is an international confederation that brings together 17 national non-governmental organizations that carry out humanitarian work in 90 countries.
