The art of real development is very essential in terms of advancing towards creating a country whose people are built with a strong mentality and have the problem-solving skills rather than concentrated minds confined in the zone of complaining and blame games. For the real development to occur, focus on positivity, solutions are very relevant, and a priority, this is because development is important in every society, and it is energized by the ability of the masses to think positively ignoring the negativity that is associated with backwardness and conflicts.

The art of the problem-solving offers an ordinary but unique ways on how to build the three aspects of life, which are interdependent and have effects on the real life on the ground. The three aspects of life are social life that is composed of beliefs, traditions, culture, tribes and morality, economic life that is made up of production (agriculture, industrialisation and trade) and finally political life that is comprised of governance, democracy, elections, constitution and accountability. All the three aspects of life are interdependent and exist simultaneously in a country or any society.

However, the important question is why does our country (South Sudan) hang in a pool of problems that are never attended to? Yes, problems are part of life, but being part of life does not mean that we totally lack solutions and ideas to tackle the existing problems. Nevertheless, our problems have persisted, forcingmany of our compatriots to abandon the country or dwell in it hopelessly or under the mercy of God. The good news is that, we can have solutions to the challenges facing us today through tracing the origin of the challenges and eradicate all the flaws in our social, political and economic systems.

Firstly, social life is the core of the human way of thinking which shape the growth of a society for a period. The social life, which is built on morality, is very crucial because morality instils in the masses ethics that are necessary in building the awareness between justice and injustice, loyalty and truth, nepotism and commitment to service as well as equality and inequality. However, social life starts from home and is built in how families build up their , and therefore it is necessary to go back to the roots in order to address most of the social tensions that we have today in our society among which include divisions based on tribes or communities, lack of good social manners among the current generation and the occurrence of the unfit social negative changes like disrespect of elders, eradication of the traditional courts and disintegration of families. It is very clear to notice today, that our social life is completely is , and therefore this corruption has affected our political and economic lives in terms of lack of accountability among our own leaders, incitement of violence by the youth supported by security agents and misconduct in trade or production. This is simply because, the total life today lacks ethics or rules that bring up people of good morals.

The disorder in social life can be addressed through setting up ethics that help to guide our societies on how to apply justice and moral development that in turn help the societies in raising families that are law-abiding citizens who are opposed to tribalism and violence. By raising the social life to a positive standard level, unity can be built among different tribes, which in long run can bring about belief in diversity and build a generation of well-mannered and visionary politicians and traders. Social and individual morality is necessary as well in eliminating corruption and injustices in the society. However, social and individual morality is built through open-minded association of elders with the young ones, this helps in instilling morals that shape the societies in a positive way.

One vital question that we must concentrate on is, why do we first handle the social aspect of life? This is because social aspect of life is like a compass that guides us in order to transform the other aspects of life like economic and political aspects. Just like compass guides the ship and trees are held firm by their roots, social life built on morals and great ethics are necessary in building a generation which is not only obedient to truth and fierce critic to corruption but a generation that can start building morals and great ethics from the personal to family levels.

Secondly, economic aspect of life concentrates on vital aspects of production (trade, imports, exports, employment etc.) and above all making a country self-reliant and truly independent, a country that is economically stable and self-reliant, has a greater advantage in escaping unnecessary loans and being  dependent on imports. This is a great stage of social life which can be described as the freedom from modern day enslavement because most of the countries today have been put in a box of enslavement simply because they can produce for themselves and therefore can’t provide for their own people. But how can we transform the economic aspect of life so that our country can be economically stable and free from unnecessary loans that retard development. It is very vital to put much energy in agricultural production and transformation, through directing our energies towards agriculture, we shall be in a better position to avoid overdependence on East African countries like Uganda and Kenya from whom we import numerous agricultural produce.

South Sudan is blessed with favourable land that is very fertile for , and therefore it is a backbone of our economy, on top of eliminating agricultural imports from East Africa through reviving production in agriculture, we are going to create a number of employment opportunities for our farmer and therefore reducing on the level of employment. Agriculture is therefore a weapon which we can use to employ our people in South Sudan. Apart from reviving agriculture to build our economy, mining and oil production should be concentrated on and managed properly. Oil production generates great funds for South , but the mismanagement of funds has made this sector irrelevant. Therefore, by ensuring elimination of corruption in the oil sector, we are likely going to generate funds that can be injected in various sectors of production like mining, transportation, agriculture, fishing and many more.

Finally, the political aspect of life is the centre of , but it is built from the social aspect of life. Lack of morals and great ethics render elections, constitution, parliament and democracy irrelevant. But let us first address the sickness in the politics of the day. The sickness in the politics of this era is “the politics that is not studied”.  A great number of countrymen and countrywomen, have turned into politicians today through the backdoor and therefore a great mess has affected the political sector today. Just like doctors and engineers, lawyers as well as technology experts need to be trained in order to be efficient and effective in performing their duties/tasks, the politicians in South Sudan don’t follow the same path of training or studying political science or international relations or leadership or laws. The lack of the necessary knowledge has created a very big gap in the country’s politicstoday, which has created inefficiency and ineffectiveness. Though we need great moral and social ethics in handling the political sector, necessary training that equips people with knowledge is very essential. Imagine being treated by a doctor who has not actually gone to medicalschool, or trusting an engineer who has not studied engineering with the duty of setting up necessary infrastructures.

Politics must be put in the hands of those who studied political science, laws, leadership, international relations and any course that is in line with management of society’s politics. Knowledge is essential in all aspects of life and by ensuring elimination of ignorance, we are able to direct our politics in the right way. However, studying politics isn’t adequate but first step towards equipping the leaders with necessary knowledge in the political sector. High level of transparency, responsibility and accountability are also necessary in the political sector. For the success of politics, accountability, responsibility and transparency are great weapons of the political game. Leaders must be able to possess these virtues. Sadly, the politics today has nothing to do with such but power retention and oppression of all those that oppose the irrelevant policies of the prominent ruling politicians.
