Let SPLM withdraw from GONU and Earth will stop Rotating?

In El Akhbar News papers of 16th of May 2010, the SPLM is reported to have threatened to pull out of GONU if the chairman of SPLM-DC is included in the coming government. By which right should the SPLM which had actually become addictive to walking out of the government of national unity for trivial reasons to place such a protest?

After all it is an international secret that the SPLM got defeated in the southern elections and the 93% that Salva scored was fake even Salva himself knows in his heart this was attributed to wide scale rigging with impunity in the south(read carter center and human rights watch reports). The GONU is not GOSS in which all the 9 southern parties will refuse to participate, as they did not recognize the southern elections because of the obvious fraud. But these parties will participate and contribute seriously to country’s wellbeing, and on this ticket the chairman of SPLM-DC shall participate.

Every time the SPLM walked out or went on the street, they always came back with bowed heads with no achievements. People are fed up of these irresponsible cries no wool. SPLM should be ashamed of the theft of the southern peoples’ will in the April elections after it became certain that they were loosing elections which fitted as an evaluation of their poor deeds in the last five years at the helms of management in the south during which so much money and resources was squandered leaving the people in a worst condition than during the war. No schools, hospitals, soldiers collecting fire wood with their rifles hung to their sides to sell in the market, much tribal fighting, land grabbing and depending on foreign products for food in southern markets.

What is so amazing about the SPLM walk out? After all you never felt whether they are there in the government or not. The only two that use to remind the people about the SPLM presence were Dr. Lam and Dr. Tabitha in foreign and health ministries respectively plus Alew Ayany and Tilar Deng. Thus let be clear no one is going to shed a drop of tears about the absence or presence of the comrades at the dancing party. The Boss of GOSS who closed down the office of the first vice president in Khartoum could partially be blamed for the non existence of his team in the national arena.

The condition became worst when Pagan Amum became the minister in the council of ministers with persistent rhetoric round the clock much cry no wool. It became evident to southern people that it was a matter of cadre or rather the lack of it that made the formidable SPLM during the war to become paper tiger. The talk about the failed government was an every day rhetoric punctuated by occasional street demonstration by ministers of the same government and complaints about marginalization by their junior ministers from the north something not in the political vocabulary world wide that a minister can complain about being marginalized in his/her ministry, yet no one resign to send the message to the marginalized masses that their minister was bullied over a substantial issue.

SG Pagan Amum by accusing Dr. Lam of destabilizing the south in his press conference in Juba because the Dr. Lam is quoted to have said that there was no SPLM in Upper Nile State which is a true statement but more still the SPLM loss grounds in the whole southern Sudan. If Pagan Amum believes that there is SPLM in Upper Nile, he should have contested to lead upper Nile SPLM. He knows why he never attempted. The 90% votes acquired at gun point can not quench democratic thirst of strong candidate who believes owns the grassroots. Pagan Amum with his poor managerial experience is the cause of tarnished SPLM. If he were a shroud administrator, SPLM would have not decayed up to the present status. The biggest unforgivable mistake what ever reasons, why was he kept in the post doing destruction to the would have been a formidable party in the whole Africa.

Now that SPLM had been reduced from a giant to a midget, Pagan Amum must bear the responsibility. His problem is he never want any thinkers in the SPLM, unfortunately he succeeded in emptying the party and he is enjoying the relics which will decay as the time goes on especially that the whole south had turned against SPLM because of the atrocities committed on the layman. The facts are as vivid as the summer sun in the sky. The hand picked SPLM political bureau managed without second thought to dismiss 347 independent SPLM cadre candidates, to put more oil on fire their votes were rigged. Gen. George Athor mutiny is the making of the SPLM and not SPLM-DC nor NCP as it is not difficult for SPLM/A to find hanging sticks on which to spread their dirty linins.
