Hosts Kenya have a chance to register their first victory of this year’s Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup when they take on South Sudan at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday.
Kenya drew their opening match against Ethiopia putting them under pressure to win Saturday’s fixture and assistant coach James Nandwa insists it is a must win for them.
“The draw against Ethiopia while disappointing, remains our biggest motivation going to our next match and we want to win it to enhance our chances of progressing,” Nandwa told Goal.
His South Sudan counter-part Ismael Obanga has warned Kenya to expect an upset. “We played very well in our first match against Zanzibar and despite going down, it has just motivated us to want to bag maximum points against Kenya. We are not afraid of the fact that they are at home and we promise to upset them.”
