Daniel Peter Othol, Ambassador of South Sudan to India, on Tuesday visited Punjab College of Technical Education Group of Institutes, where 11 South Sudan students are studying.
Calling for better relations between the two nations, Othol said considering South Sudan was a new country, it had abundant opportunities to offer. He mentioned fields of education, infrastructure, telecommunication, and capital goods for trade partnership between India and South Sudan.
Asserting that he was elated to be an Ambassador to India, he said India was one country which had extended tremendous help in shaping South Sudan. Many Indian businessmen were right now investing in infrastructure, hospitals and schools in South Sudan.
Dr K N S Kang, PCTE director general, said Othol, who had been the Ambassador to UK before India, was keen to come and meet the South Sudanese students.
