South Sudan is currently facing a severe humanitarian crisis characterised by extensive internal displacement. The underlying causes of these displacement dynamics are varied and include communal clashes, land disputes, insecurity, violence, disasters, and cross-border movements. The situation is further complicated by the ongoing conflict in Sudan, which has led to an influx of refugees and returnees, straining already limited resources.
