Today and Thursday – last local opportunities to get update on SOUTH SUDAN.

ANITA HENDERLIGHT, Executive Director of AfricaELI working in the REPUBLIC of SOUTH SUDAN will be speaking to our award-winning JANESVILLE ACADEMY FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDIES at 9 am TODAY (April 16) in the Hyatt Smith Commons at University of Wisconsin – Rock County. This event is FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. I plan to be there and encourage interested persons to hear Anita and learn about new newest nation on earth – the Republic of South Africa – born on July 9, 2011 and now approaching its FIRST B-DAY.

Anita was guest on WCLO’s “YOUR TALK SHOW” last Thursday, 4/12 – you can hear that segment online using this link to the podcast, “AfricaELI.”

The last event free and open to the public in our area will be next Thursday (4/19) from 9:30 – 11 am with luncheon following with the United Methodist Women’s group at First United Methodist Church, 145 South Prairie Street, Whitewater. EVREYONE IS INVITED and WELCOME!

If you want more details about AfricaELI (Africa Education and Leadership Initiative), they were shared in my WE THE PEOPLE post last Thursday, April 12, “YOUR TALK SHOW guest, Anita Henderlight talks about the Republic of South Sudan’s first year” and before that I posted on WE THE PEOPLE on Monday, April 9, “HENDERLIGHT brings HOPE for the Future of South Sudan to share with US!”

My wife, Marilyn (FULL DISCLOSURE) has been enthusiastically supportive of ANITA HENDERLIGHT and AfricaELI. She was active in setting up Anita’s schedule in our Janesville area and, with a group of friends of AfricaELI throughout WI, arranged for Anita to visit groups throughout the southern half of WI on her visit this year. Anita will continue visits in WI through next Saturday, April 21.

We believe that AfricaELI is one of the projects which helps build for a FUTURE of WORLD PEACE. HOPEFUL! Time will tell…

Here we go…

Mr. E.
