Khartoum – The Political Parties Affairs Council (PPAC) has called on the SPLM to withdraw its forces from Sudanese territories, saying the forces which occupied Heglig are southern troops backed by mercenaries from other countries that harbour deep hatred towards the Sudan.

In an exclusive statement to Sudan Vision, PPAC Chairman, Abboud Jabir, called on the international community to take a decisive stance towards flagrant breaches of the SPLM including occupation of Higlig. The PPAC also called on the Security Council to put pressure on the Government of South Sudan and to impose deterrent sanctions against the SPLA to force it to pull out from Sudanese territories.

He lauded the stances of the international community represented in the UN, Security Council and AU and their rejection of the entry of SPLA into Higlig, saying it is the first time the international community converged on a Sudanese issue which is a good indication.

Abboud also praised the entire Sudanese people for their support to SAF, stressing the need for such support to continue even after the liberation of Higlig oil field.

He urged all the Sudanese people to get ready to reconstruct what was ruined by the SPLA, calling on the international community to obligate the SPLA to compensate the civilians affected by the aggression.

It is worth noting that the PPAC is in state of continued meetings to be updated on all developments in Higlig and to mobilize material and moral support for the SAF and to keep the declared general mobilization going.
