The expo is organised by Egypt’s General Organisation for International Exhibitions and Fairs.
Gamea said that Egypt is keen on enhancing joint ventures and commercial and economic cooperation with Nile Basin countries to benefit from the significant economic potentials of them, boost sustainable development goals (SDGs) achievement, and fulfill common economic interests.
She added that organising such an expo is a chance to meet the African markets’ needs through providing Egyptian products, at a competitive price, which fulfil the African consumer’s wants.
Trade flow between Egypt and South Sudan posted $707,000 in 2020, covering fruits, vegetables, sugar, glass, and cotton, according to Gamea.
She also noted that there are significant opportunities for Egyptian exporters to penetrate South Sudan’s market and meet its needs based on the reputation Egyptian goods have globally.
The Made in Egypt Expo extends over 1800 square metres and includes products from a number of productive sectors, mainly ready-made garments, home appliances, medical supplies, and logistics.
It also includes a booth for handicrafts introduced by nine exhibitors.
