South Sudan Deputy Governor Warns Those In Diaspora Against Government Criticisms in Social Media

The Deputy Governor of Jonglei State has  strongly warned South Sudanese in Diaspora not to interfere in the affairs of the Government , accusing them of criticism on social media against officials in the State.

The Deputy Governor, Wal Athiu Madol made the statement while speaking to the Cabinet ministers of Jonglei state Government on Friday in Bor,.

“We have a problem behind us. The so called communities are trying to interfere in the affairs of Jonglei State government. We have people in Juba who have interests here and we have people in diaspora. I don’t know what is the interest of the people in diaspora especially on the internet, said Wal.

He advised the council to be pledge their allegiance to the government and work together in order to face the challenges together in Jonglei State.

He complained about the issues that are often discussed on the internet by those in the diaspora.

“They say rubbish on the internet against the government and they are not in the field. It is we who are in the field, who know the situation better than anybody in America or in Australia. Even those in Juba are also interfering in our affairs,” lamented Wal.

“Please rejoin us and let us face all these challenges together and we see what would be the future of Jonglei State and South Sudan”, he added.

He urged South Sudanese to unite in order to succeed in running their daily affairs as a nation.
