Khartoum -- The two day discussion between the Foreign Ministers of Sudan and South Sudan is to begin this morning in Khartoum. Spokesperson of Foreign Affairs Ali Al-Sadiq divulged little to Sudan Vision about the meeting, “Until now I don’t have information about the meeting or the agenda.” The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim Ghandour told media that the ministers will review bilateral relations within the two days, alongside mutual interests.“The participation of South Sudan’s Foreign Minister in the 60th anniversary of Sudan’s independence confirms the strength of ties between the two countries” said the minister, who went on to say that there is a long lasting relationship between the countries and he noted his desire for better future relations with the sisterly South.The minister underlined the motivation of Sudan to further peace and stability in South Sudan, pointing out that the President of the Republic emphasised the concern of Sudan to promoting ties with South Sudan and to complete the peace process in the South. This came while he was delivering a speech on the occasion of independence.In regards to border demarcation, Ghandour promised the people of the two countries there would be an opening of crossing points following the specification of a zero point. He also promised to transcend the issue of hosting armed movements in the case of settling disputes on border.On his part, the Foreign Minister of South Sudan Barnaba Benjamin welcomed and appreciated the stance of Sudan in supporting his country.“The dialogue between us has started in Moscow, so we have joint cooperative agreement” said Benjamin.
