The organizing committee of the South Sudan National Cup held the draw for the four qualifying teams this afternoon in Juba.
The draw featured Gueri City Juba, Super Star Bor, Al-Merreikh Aweil, and Yds Yirol. Gueri City Juba was paired with Super Star Bor, while Yds Yirol will face Al-Merreikh Aweil.
Two teams from this phase will qualify to join the fourteen Premier League sides, bringing the total number of participating clubs in the South Sudan National Cup to sixteen.
Meanwhile, the draw for the Under-17 Girls’ Academies Tournament in Juba was conducted today, Thursday, March 12, at the headquarters of the South Sudan Football Federation.bThe event, organised by the federation, was attended by the Competitions Committee
Chairman Ater Deng and Head of the Women’s Football Committee Susan John, along with several academy representatives. The 16 participating teams were drawn into four groups:
Group A comprises Venus International Academy, Hai Al-Baraka Academy, Juba Academy, and Hyper Academy. bGroup B includes Blue Wave Academy, Juba City Academy, and Maluth Academy. Premious Academy.
Group C includes Eloi Nursery Academy, Victoria Academy, Lion of Africa Academy, and Everest High Soccer Academy. Group D includes Jamus Academy, Jabal Star Academy, Eden Academy, and Munki Academy.
The tournament will kick off on March 17, with the opening match to be played between Venus International Academy and Hai Al-Baraka Academy.
