South Sudan's hopes dashed. After an impressive victory over Cape Verde in their previous match, South Sudan were stopped in their tracks by Cameroon's aggressive defense, losing 60-56 on the final day of Group C action in Radès, Tunisia.
Cameroon's defense completely stifled the Bright Stars, limiting their offense to just 56 points for a final score of 60-56. Despite a late comeback that brought the gap to just two points, Cameroon held on, securing a crucial victory to avoid falling to 1-2 in the first round.
