October 5, 2023 (JUBA)- South Sudan President Kiir has directed the newly appointed Central Bank governor, Abraham Alic Garang to coordinate and improve the economic situation in a country largely dependent on oil revenues.
He made the remarks during the swearing-in occasion of the new bank governor.
Garang, a renowned economist, was appointed in a decree read on Tuesday.
Kiir, in his address, urged the new governor and his two deputies to join hands and address the shortfalls in the economy so as to improve livelihoods of the people.
