- Tuva changed his profile photo to a family photo and mentioned finding a job with an Ethiopian woman
- Tuva stopped responding to messages on January 15, and his whereabouts remain unknown, causing concern for his family
Towards the tail end of 2022, Stephen Tuva was in Kenya and joined his dear family for Christmas celebrations and according to his sister Miriam Mutia, they all had a good time.
Stephen stops answering messages
In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Mutia: " We had a gathering, and we enjoyed ourselves. He seemed happy and then left for work. When he left, he even changed his profile photo to our family photo," she said.
"He told me he had found a job with an Ethiopian woman and won't be paid till February, so I was expecting him to call me after that, but he never did" said Mutia.
Mutia added that they started sending messages but he never replied despite them being delivered.
"We assumed he was okay until one day the messages stopped going through on January 15," revealed Mutia.
First job in Juba
Initially, the 41-year-old chef used to work in a restaurant along Airport Road in Juba and no one knows about his employment status since he mentioned about moving to another job.
"I have tried to engage two people there but it's a dead end. One who is my friend told me that Tuva's former colleague had told him he was last seen along Airport Road one day then he vanished ," said Mutia.
"The other guys I spoke to said your brother is a drunkard just leave he is a grown man we will find him," said the distraught sister.
The family is now afraid that Tuva may have become mentally challenged and or maybe he has been thrown in jail.
"Kindly note I would like to go there and look for him myself but my financial muscles are weak," she said.
