During a briefing to the lawmakers on their monthly salary payments, Transitional Government of National Unity Speaker, Nunu, emphasized the importance of paying the salaries and allowances of the 650 legislators on time. Nunu also addressed the parliament, highlighting the need for the government to provide them with new cars and to ensure the payment of former MPs.
While speaking to the parliament, President Kirr urged members to work together for the betterment of the country. He instructed the Minister of Finance and Planning to improve the country’s image in the East Africa community and directed the Foreign Affairs Minister to strengthen ties and lobby for funds to support the peace implementation of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS).
