Egypt's Ambassador in Juba Moataz Mostafa Abdel Qader has discussed with Speaker of South Sudan’s Transitional National Legislative Assembly Jemma Nunu Kumba ways of strengthening bilateral relations at the official and popular levels.
In a press release on Sunday, the Foreign Ministry said the ambassador voiced Egypt's continued support for the South Sudanese people during this critical period.
He also highlighted aspects of mutual cooperation in the fields of training, rehabilitation, capacity-building, health, education, power and water resources.
For her par, Kumba appreciated the support provided by Egypt for the South Sudanese people.
The two sides also tackled means of promoting cooperation between the Egyptian and South Sudanese parliaments and forming Egyptian-South Sudanese parliamentary friendship group. (MENA)
