President of Niger Denounces South Sudan Agression on Sudan - Sudan Vision

Khartoum - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir, affirmed that the Armed Forces will repulse any aggression against the Sudan and hailed the steadfastness of the Armed Forces and their determination to defend the Sudanese soil, unity and gains.

This came at a press conference he held Thursday at the Presidential Hall in Khartoum Airport with the President of the Republic of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou, at the end of his visit to Sudan.

President Al Bashir affirmed that Sudan has no interest to continue the war which is loss to both country, explaining that the aggressions by the People's Army of South Sudan came in implementation of foreign agenda and that the State of South Sudan is now paying back bills for the groups that used to support them during the war, despite the fact that the State of South Sudan is a newly-born State that needs stability, peace, development and services to its people.

The President of the Republic said that Sudan has signed the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) in order to realize Peace and to bring to an end the war that exhausted the capabilities of Sudan, explaining that it is apparent that the rulers of the State of South Sudan neither give heed to the interests of Sudan nor the interests of their own country and people.

President Al Bashir described the visit of his Nigerian counterpart as successful and fruitful, saying that they exchanged points of view and focused on the importance of boosting the bilateral relations between Sudan and Niger.

Meanwhile, the President of the Republic of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou denounced the aggressions by the State of South Sudan against Higlig and expressed the support of his country to Sudan.

He said that Niger is part of the African Union and is committed to the denunciation of the African Union to the behavior by South Sudan.
He said that Niger denounces any aggressions against any African State.

President Mahamadou Issoufou told the press that his talks with the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, touched on the bilateral relations and means of boosting them further, saying that the talks focused on aspects of cooperation in the security, agriculture, irrigation and self-sufficiency aspect.
He said that his country aims to benefit from Sudan's experience in the field of dams.

The President of the Republic of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou, and the accompanying delegation left to his country Thursday at the end of his three-day official visit to Sudan, during which he held official talks with President Al Bashir and visited a number of major developmental projects in Sudan.
