Khartoum, Feb. 9 (SUNA) – The mediation delegation of South Sudan headed by Counselor Tut Galwak, the advisor of the President of the Republic of South Sudan for Security Affairs, arrived in the country this afternoon, and was received at Khartoum Airport by Mohammed Hassan Al-Taishi, the member of the Transitional Sovereign Council.
Counselor Tut Galwak affirmed in a press statement that the delegation carries a message from the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Lieutenant General Salva Kiir Mayardit, to the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, congratulating him on the great achievements and positive steps made in implementation of the Juba Agreement for Sudan's Peace, including the completion of the TSC and the formation of the Council of Ministers, asserting continuation of S. Sudan with the TSC and the Ministers councils to implement the provisions of the Juba Agreement.
Counselor Tut called for dialogue to contain any developments on the eastern borders of Sudan, stressing the S. Sudan’s keenness on the region’s peace.
S. Sudan’s visiting mediation delegation includes Advisor to the President of the Republic of South Sudan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Beatrice Khamis Wani, Minister of East African Affairs Deng Alor and Director of the Security Service, Akol Kaur.
