Djibouti, Dec. 20 (SUNA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, the chairperson of the current session of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) organization, has commended the role that is being assumed by the Republic of South Sudan for realizing peace in the country, affirming keenness of Sudan on enhancing the relations of cooperation with South Sudan in all fields.
This came when Dr. Hamdouk received at his residence in Djibouti today Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan Dr. Rebecca Garang, in the presence of Deputy Foreign Minister of South Sudan Deng Dau Deng.
The meeting tackled the bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields besides progress of implementation of the peace agreement in South Sudan and the efforts being exerted for combating coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Rebecca Garang expressed thanks to Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, the chairperson of the current session of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) organization, on the invitation he extended to the President of the Republic of South Sudan to attend the IGAD’s summit, affirming that peace in the two countries contributes to development of the trade exchanges between them.
