The missing 30-year old youthful businessman gained infamy for uploading videos of himself ‘swimming’ in loads of US dollars bills and now his efforts have been complemented by a fellow countryman.
South Sudan First Vice-President Gen. Taban Deng Gai, has created a buzz by electing to reward the nation’s triumphant U-23 men’s football team with wads of notes, amounting to about Sh760,000, for their recent victory over Uganda.

“The First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan H.E Gen. Taban Deng Gai made a donation of SSP 1,000,000 to the Bright Stars for their historic victory in the last match against the Uganda U23 team,” a statement by South Sudan FA read in part.
WADS OF CASH
“He applauded their commitment, dedication, and cooperation that resulted in the victory and wished them success in their career.”
South Sudan Football Association President Francis Paul has now assured the public that the team will be adequately prepared for the test against the North Africans.
Deng Gai’s gesture is all too common in most parts of Africa, where politicians carrying wads of cash to distribute to successful sportsmen and sportswomen. This approach however is generally criticized for being ‘unprofessional’ and ‘risky’.
