Only two teams will qualify for the semi-finals and either of the two sides face a risk of being eliminated if they do not get a win More
The defending champions failed to get maximum points in their first match against Burundi, settling for a barren draw; it was a different story for the South Sudan though as they fell 3-0 to Ethiopia.
With Burundi winning against Ethiopia on Thursday to go top of the Group with four points, and Ethiopia following with a point less, Uganda have no other choice apart from winning the match or risk getting eliminated.
This is going to be the first time these two sides are facing each other in the competition. However, they have met twice before, with Cranes winning 5-1 and drawing the other match 0-0.
Only two teams will qualify for the semi-finals and either of the two sides face a risk of being eliminated if they do not get maximum points.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Uganda: Mutyaba Muzamiru was impressive against Burundi, creating scoring opportunities; he has a chance of making everything right by hitting the back of the net. Debutant Allan Kateregga was fantastic against Burundi, and he will definitely be aiming at replicating the same against South Sudan.
South Sudan: Captain Awad Juma knows well that he is facing one of the best sides in the league and he will have to marshal his defense well to ensure no blunders at the back. Bentu Chol will also have to do better by ensuring he does not let the Ugandans dictate the tempo in midfield or else things will be bad for his side.
PROBABLE LINE-UPS: Uganda: Benjamin Ochan, Muwanga Benard, Muleme Isaac, Awany Timothy, Wadada Nicholas, Lwanga Tadeo, Kyambadde Allan, Kalisa Milton, Nsibambi Derrick, Kateregga Allan and Mutyaba Muzamiru.
S.Sudan: Awad Juma, Wataryor Mumin, Deng Deng, Benasio Zacharia, Lemi Abdu, Uras Rufino, Pretino Domonic, Bentu Chol, Tiem Thok, Wol Atak and Uso Khamis.
