The Egyptian national team arrived in Juba on Sunday as the Pharaohs prepare for their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Sudan on Tuesday.

The Pharaohs began their qualifying campaign with a frustrating goalless draw at home on Friday and will be keen to return to winning ways against South Sudan.

Egypt are third in Group B with one point, behind leaders Malawi, who have three points after beating South Sudan 2-1 earlier on Friday.

Pharaohs captain Mohamed Salah will miss the game, as will Nice defender Mohamed Abdelmoneim, who is unable to play on artificial turf.

Abdelmoneim is returning from a lengthy spell on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery.

While Egypt coach Hossam Hassan called up NBE Club striker Ossama Faisal to replace Salah, he opted not to call up a defender to replace Abdelmoneim.

The Egyptian team will train at the match venue on Monday.

The top two teams in the group will qualify automatically for next year's Africa Cup of Nations.
