
The Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Malik Agar Eyre, arrived in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, on Sunday for an official visit to discuss issues related to bilateral cooperation.
According to a press release issued by the Transitional Sovereign Council’s media office, the visit will explore “ways to strengthen bilateral relations and develop prospects for joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields, in addition to issues of common interest.”
Upon his arrival at Juba International Airport, Agar was received by a high-level delegation headed by President Salva Kiir’s National Security Advisor, Tut Gatluak Manyamai, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mondi Semaya Kumba, along with several senior officials from the South Sudanese government and members of the Sudanese diplomatic mission in Juba.
