The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has congratulated the first president of the South Sudan football association, Chabur Gor Alei, and the new executive board.The new association member of Caf held its elections on April 30 in Juba at which the first president and executive board were elected.Caf president, Issa Hayatou, in a congratulatory message said, “Caf executive committee and the entire football family send warmest congratulations to you and the newly elected SSFA executive board. “Caf is confident that your expertise and leadership will greatly benefit South Sudanese football. Caf is delighted as well that all actors of South Sudan football came together on this historic event.”South Sudan was formally accepted into the Caf family at the Ordinary General Assembly held on February 10, 2012 in Libreville, Gabon.
