Bangladesh Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, SBP, OSP, ndu, psc, PhD arrived in South Sudan on Friday (18 February 2022) on a four-day official visit (daily-sun.com)
South Sudan's Chief of Defense Forces General Santino Deng Wol received him on his arrival at the Juba International Airport.
During the visit, the Army Chief will inspect the Bangladesh contingents deployed in South Sudan. He will also meet with senior members of the South Sudanese government and other leading military and civilian figures, including the Chief of Defense Forces and the head of the UN mission.
The Chief of Army Staff is leading a six-member delegation of the Bangladesh Army during the visit. At the end of the visit, the delegation will leave Juba for Dhaka on 23 February 2022.
