JUBA, South Sudan
South Sudan and Turkey agreed Wednesday to bring together business communities and development agencies from both countries.
Juba Mayor Kalisto Lado Faustino and Turkish Ambassador to South Sudan Erdem Mutaf will draw the communities together through an exchange of letters and discussions on possible needs to enhance businesses.
Faustino told reporters he has developed a very good working relationship that will enhance development and service delivery to the people of Juba and Istanbul, especially.
“Juba city and Istanbul are having a good relationship to do with development and service delivery to people in the two cities since 2012 and that cooperation still exist up to now,” said Faustino.
He said his discussions with Mutaf led to an agreement to ensure business communities and development agencies get to understand each other and their needs.
Mutaf hailed the leadership of the Juba City Council for their trust and he promised to ensure Turkish communities work closely with South Sudanese stakeholders.
