Poem - Flow And Never Flow In My Blood

From the conflicts I am depressed for they have destroyed my entire landscape planting hopelessness and division. My homeland is down into the depression of helplessness.          Oh conflicts flow not in my blood.

From tribalism and hate I am wrecked and crippled especially from the inhuman environment and atmosphere it created. Sympathy is scarce and mercy can’t be found.          Oh tribalism and hate flow not in my blood.

From the hypocrisy and lies of my own countrymen and countrywomen I found no optimism but pessimism and death. The promises have turned into empty mere words.          Oh hypocrisy and lies flow not in my blood.

From corruption and nepotism my homeland has turned into undefined land with no direction and vision. Mission has been abandoned and life is lifeless.          Oh corruption and nepotism flow not in my blood.

For peace and stability I wander from the sunrise to the sunset. From the old days to the endless days I still wander for calmness and rest. Peace I search for like underground gold.          Oh peace, stability and calmness flow in my blood.

Justice and equality are far from being fetched like water from a borehole. Though I stretch a rope deep underground justice I can’t fetch and equality I can’t reach. Justice and equality into smoke they have turned.          Oh justice and equality flow in my blood.

Flow within me and never stop for I am dry like a desert with no rains and hope of seeing rains. Passion and compassion I need to flow from my head to the feet.          Oh passion and compassion flow in my blood.
