By Deng Rialdit Akook
A group of desperate and hunger traumatized youth who claimed to be representing ten states and three administrative areas wrote an incendiary open letter to the president calling for the relieve of Deng Wal, Akol Santo Arech and Goc Akot. In their joint open letter, The unknown thirteen representatives of ten states and three administrative under their non existing "Concerned Youth", accused the kind and disciplined bodyguard of the President of turning himself into a millionaire, using the name of the President to exploit the business people, receiving 3 millions dollars from Benjamin Bol Mel, conducting the expensive wedding and so many others.
First and foremost, The great youth of South Sudan are not aware of the existence of " Concerned Youth of Ten States and Three administrative areas". The only legitimate body that represents the youth at the state level is the State Youth Union. The thirteen individuals who signed the concocted open letter on behalf of the non existing Concerned Youth, are either fake or dead longtime ago in the tenth century. The thirteen names which appeared in that open letter are all fake and were just coined by the desperate lobbyists of various positions in the presidency.
Coming to the false allegations labelled against the kind and humble young man Eng. Akol Santo Arech by the imaginary Concerned Youth of ten states and three administrative areas. To begin with the allegation of receiving three millions dollars from Benjamin Bol Mel. Eng. Akol Arech is neither a businessman nor related to Bol Mel either by blood or by friendship. Where on the earth can a businessman give such a huge amount of money to an ordinary citizen?. Akol Santo Arech is a mere citizen who can't even reach the level of interacting with a renowned businessman like Bol Mel, leave alone giving him money. This false accusation is groundless and can't convince the deaf man to leave alone our reasonable intellectuals in the social media. If Benjamin Bol Mel is having huge amount of money which he distributes to individuals, then he would have distributed them to influential constitutional holders in the country not to ordinary citizen like Akol Santo Arech.
The fake self proclaimed representatives of ten states and three administrative areas claimed in their open letter that Eng. Akol Santo fraudly collects a huge amount of money from politicians and business people who are seeking appointment with the president. This is a visible lie. The appointments or meetings in the office of President are usually handled by the office manager or executive director. Akol Santo as a bodyguard has nothing to do with appointments or meetings. His sole duty is to guard and protect the president.
The hunger traumatized representatives of ten states and three administrative areas alleged that Eng. Akol Santo has conducted what they wrongly described as a " very expensive wedding" with over one hundred V8, three Jeeps and two anti bullet proof vehicles. To prove that these proclaimed representatives are potential liars, no such expensive wedding has been conducted in South Sudan since its creation by God. It is true Akol Santo has got married but his wedding was not expensive as claimed by unknown keyboard warriors. The marriage ceremony of Eng. Akol Santo was conducted in conformity with the social norms and fabrics of the South Sudanese marriage system. How can a bodyguard manage to conduct his wedding with such a number of luxurious vehicles. The price of the new model V8 is 120,000 United States Dollars which is equivalent to 30 years' salary for Eng Akol Santo. The few vehicles that were used for transport during his wedding were hired by the friends and relatives.
The allegation of turning himself into a millionaire is as fake as those who wrote the open letter. Turning one's self into a millionaire is neither claimed nor easy. A bodyguard who receives less than fifty dollars a month can't be a millionaire. Eng. Akol Santo is poor like any other ordinary citizen in the country. If becoming a millionaire is easy, then the desperate individuals who penned the open letter would have been millionaires. The unknown thirteen representatives of Concern Youth accused Akol Santo of snapping photos with luxurious buildings and vehicles behind him. Taking photos in front of luxurious vehicles and buildings doesn't mean that those buildings and cars belong to him ( Akol Santo). Those luxurious vehicles and buildings which you see behind Eng. Akol in most of the photos are hotels or commercial centres and are owned by the business people. Taking photos in front of other people's buildings is not a crime and many people have been doing it including the designers of the infamous open letter. Therefore, Akol is not the first South Sudanese to take photos in front of other people's luxurious cars and buildings.
In conclusion, all the allegations levelled against Eng. Akol Santo Arech in the open letter entitled " A joint open letter from concerned youth of ten states and three administrative areas to President Salva Kiir Mayardit'' are also baseless. Those allegations were manufactured by the enemies of progress with a clear intention of tarnishing the image of a humble potential young man Eng. Akol Santo. The authors of the open letter are desperate lobbyists who are trying by all means to find a way into the presidency through deforming the hard-working staff like Eng. Akol Santo Arech. Therefore, I am urging the South Sudanese around the world to disregard whatever was written against Eng. Akol Santo and throwing it into the dustbin.
