Generally speaking and honestly, soldiers have fear including us. It is an emotion that is as normal as breathing. I have learned a lot about fear in the Army and people reject being a soldier because of fear. Personally, I have learned that the only difference between people who achieve greatness and those who do not is that the former ditched their fear. The problem is that most soldiers cling to their fears, and are therefore unable to move forward in their lives with necessary change. The definition of fearless according to English Advanced Dictionary is quite simply "free from fear; brave". Some synonyms of fearless are bold, courageous, gallant, gutsy, heroic, stout, undaunted, and valiant. Any successful militaristic professional like Gen Gabriel Jok Riak Makol has all of these traits.
Being fearless is more about who you are, rather than what you do. Fearless Army Generals are great. they are full of life, good energy, passion and self-belief. They are bold trendsetters, who go against the grain to do something different and better because of a strong purpose and mission. But without these bravery leaders in South Sudan, especially fearless liberators like him and the rest of the Generals who have these attitudes in the first place, South Sudan could not be a country. So they fearless leaders who are not afraid to make mistakes and make a difference. These individuals are difficult to find, but they are very authentic. Congratulations to South Sudan People Defense Force (SSPDF) for having Gen.Gabriel Jok Riak Makol.
Militaristic Gen. Gabriel Jok Riak Makol does not accept the answer of "No" or "It can't be done" even if it is something that is a near impossibility. He is never afraid or rejected. He is a trendsetter, not trend follower. He goes against the grain to do something different, to better what is currently in place. He has a strong vision and can lead us and others. He can build a team of individuals to follow him.
He would work tirelessly to achieve his goals and work harder than anyone else by doing whatever it takes to get the job at hand done.
Exactly he is a Chief of the General Staff of the National Army to win. He will not accept failure. He may get knocked down, but he doesn't get knocked out. Just dust himself off frequently and always thinking one step ahead. He is continually thinking about the future and studying his opposition and finding their weaknesses and going at them full throttle. Very stubborn, nothing will get in his way to success. He has practice until perfect. Nothing but perfection is acceptable in his administration office at Bilpham Headquarter of SSPDF.
Let us embrace struggle. Most of the soldiers in South Sudan instinctively avoid struggle, because it feels like failure, and that scares them, but the term “no pain, no gain” holds true. To develop your skills, it is a necessity that you struggle, so you must embrace it. Once you struggle, fear slowly disintegrates from you. Objectives have also been needed. Take an interest in investigating your fears. Ask yourself about what thoughts generate your fear if you become a soldier, where you feel the fear, and how you react to it. Trying to be an objective observer of your own life being a soldier doesn't mean death.
If Gen. Gabriel Jok Riak Makol had been feared, he wouldn't be called valor General on the front of South Sudan People Defense Forces in South Sudan. Let us try to embrace struggle in order to be like him and the rest of South Sudan nationals fearless Generals. Being a soldier needs to have Tiger eyes or lion eyes. Those animals are principals of forest including elephants. For God, people and my country.
