I was surprised by yesterday’s announcement that Bashir has already formed a committee which will demonstrate in support of unity in Sudan. Shortly after Bashir’s announcement, it was followed by rapid newscast that he has appointed Salva Kiir to be his deputy in rallying for unity.
Instead of forming a committee for Abyei referendum and border demarcation, Bashir has only maintained his position that unity is the only option for all Sudanese. Now we can see that the course of referendum is being reversed from what it originally meant (separation) to the anarchy and oppression it was intended to eradicate (unity). Unity cannot be the only preference as it is considered a choice of few who have accepted enticement despite the hardship that is being endured in South Sudan.
Supporting the unity of Southerners remains the only mechanism at work currently and I want to stress mainly on the fact that NCP is presently at work day and night initiating disagreements among some of the top leaders across different political parties in Sudan. This divide and rule approach model of NCP is a force at work apportioning current partners and hitching former opponents for purposes planned to derail the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) for the final time. I do not see any one Bashir has appointed in that committee rallying for unity as a threat to referendum but accepting membership in that organization would mean cancelling the plebiscite. It is true that president Salva cannot accept being appointed as a part of an organization that is working day-to-day on annihilating the African cultures thriving in South Sudan so that its oil and other vast resources are occupied in the future. As there is a shrink in Egyptian resources because of overpopulation, there are new deals being put in place by NCP and the said country and they are all aimed toward permanent displacement or extinction of Southerners.
Uncertainties are also rising as South is being potentially seen as a boat that will save the continent in the future for its suitability for airbase of Israel and friends. South Sudan is a very strategic region in the whole of the continent of Africa and the fact that physical infrastructure is lacking tells that much will be done in accelerating it within its (her) first ten years of sovereignty. It will be through South Sudan that fundamentalism, rapid spreads of hate ideologies and all other threats to world peace that are channelled through Africa will be bought to an end.
NCP and the Derailment of CPA
NCP is trying more ways and testing how their success can be manipulated to make the CPA collapse. NCP has a last resort of slaying two or one of the top patriotic people of the South probably toward the end of the years or this can happen few days prior to voting. NCP can use problems as such to extend or create epochs of mourning that are directly colliding with those days outlined for polling. This is a really scheme at work after all else fail in convincing or bribing those uplifting voices and figures of strength within among Southerners. Ignorance is a disease and it would be better encouraged that this paper is printed out by anyone closer to some of those strong figures of the land and take it to them.
This is a highly recommended strategy to go for so that means for prevention are immediately established. These are the most difficult times in history but with persistence and spirit of collaboration we can prevent the boat carrying us from being wrecked by the enemy. As time is approaching for ballots to be steered, more meetings are being created and there are 50% chances of planned assassinations that can take place if carefulness is not put to work but with the help of God, we all know that those plans will not work at all. NCP is inciting the conduct of this serious problem by any mean possible including lies created to conflict Southerners for reasons of power struggle within certain circles of leadership. The enemy’s plans are always different from the triggers established to mess the current for the overall magnitude of the fall. For instance, unity can be achieved through mischievous means such as organized murder or assassination within a certain frame of time so that postponement of key advances is put to work.
Protecting our leaders
We are being haunted in many different ways by Khartoum and we need to develop ranges of protection. Our leaders are our strength, vision, sure signs of future hope for our people and country and so forth. Protecting them is the best thing we can all focus on at the moment as it includes taking measures such as minimizing travels to venues lacking security as those will trigger NCP’s deliberate acts of injustices. I would recommend that staying in Juba or South would be better until after January 15, 2011. There is no need of meetings any more as we are all observing the approaching time of referendum. President Salva Kiir and Dr. Riek Machar should be strongly advised to stay in South or they can use other ports of departures to travel out of the continent. As Southerners, we need to collaborate at this time to defeat the common enemy. Differences among us are just minor and do not fall under category of severe problems of being push or wheeled towards unity by the enemy of the people of South Sudan.
It is better that our leaders come together for protection at this crucial time in which referendum is being anticipated. Thank God that all Southerners came together during the All Parties Conference that was held in Juba last month. We want to encourage leaders like Dr. Lam Akol, Bona Malual, and Dr. Lual Deng, Dr. Riek Gai and Minister Dak Duop Bichiok to come to Juba very soon. Anyone can contradict me for some of the views expressed via
